Def, like your player choices mostly think i'd prefer Broughton over Shaw  but Shaw could be a great unique by the looks of it so can complain to much give this line 10/10

Mids, super strong love your player choices but 4 out 5 premos have round 13 byes this could be a problem so i give this line 9/10

Rucks, standard 10/10

Forwards, cant really fault this line i like your player choices and the structure 10/10

so that's 39/40

Suggestions, It's a really nice team mate only problem i see is a lack of round 12/11 bye premo players i'd suggest swapping Beams/Dangerfield for a round 12 by premo mid even though you only need 18 players scores during the bye to many premos not playing in round 13 could be a problem

also by downgrading Beams and possibly getting Broughton in for Shaw you would be able to afford Varcoe/Knights as F5 this would make your team look stronger imo and Broughton can be used as DPP with Staker which is nice :)

would do the usual rating but i don't really like it at all spending to much cash in defense for my liking, Luey + Gorringe is to much of a risk in the rucks, mids are good i guess, forward lines ok but think Knights/Varcoe better options then Bock

would give it about 6/10 right now

Not even worth the usual rating! lolz Not enough cutter used on my cookies perhaps?

I'll see if I can win you back a bit.....

Luey/Gorringe - People freak out as soon as they see a rookie in the rucks but I never saw why it's different from the other part of the field. Gorringe could have better JS than 90% of all rookies and he could score as well as most of them too. I started with Zac Smith's 78 average at R2 in 2011 and a quiet 93 average from Giles last year.

Bock VS Varcoe or Knights - simple stats win this one pretty easily for mine. Here's the three player's career SC averages not including last year or their first two years:

Bock - 86 (91 from 2008 - 2011)
Knights - 77
Varcoe - 74

On top of that Varcoe and Knights have a lot of competition to even be best 22 let alone anything like the midfield time hype that people get sucked into. Bock steps straight back in to be one of the Suns go to players whether he plays forward or back. That is the clincher too - His DPP to switch with Broughton if needed makes him a lock for me provided he gets up for RD1.

I've also upgraded Gaff to Shuey and am considering going Hartlett to Birchall as well.

So what you reckon? 6.5?

and Bock will be 30 and March and not had a good pre season Varcoe is very fit right now and is ready to go same with Knights i think Varcoe is easily in the best 22 Knights not so easily has to show something first and i don't think Bock has 100% JS could get rested a bit

regarding Gorringe i just think him and Luey is to risky maybe like a Maric+Gorringe combo i might accept

even if you upgrade Hartlett to Birchall i still don't like it maybe even more with that as i think your spending to much cash with 5 premos in defense given how many good rookie defenders there are

Ok, I've taken a breath and taken what you've said on board. Here's a rework that's not quite as out there. See what you reckon.

BACKS
Goddard, Gibbs, Hartlett, Broughton, Goodes, Pittard
Docherty, Terlich

MIDS
Pendlebury, Cotchin, Murphy, Fyfe, Ball, O’Meara, Viney, Crouch
Mayes, Vlastuin

RUCKS
Goldstein, Leuenberger
Currie, McBean

FWDS
Franklin, Cox, Rockliff, Thomas, Martin, Staker
Macaffer, Menzel

yeah mate looking very nice but Thomas is still in a moon boot will be underdone for round 1 you could get Knights/Varcoe in for him and upgrade Ball team would look really strong then
[/quote]
Cheers mate.

Just not sure about either Varcoe or Knights. Can't see either of them average over 80. I've never rated Varcoe that highly (always seems a bit lazy) and with his time off I think he has been overtaken by the younger talent coming through. Especially when it comes to midfield time. Knights is a bit the same too. The Tigers midfield should smash it this year so I can only see him being used up forward.

I saw Daisy in the moonboot but he is straight back into full training in two weeks time so I still think he'll be good to go RD1. NAB will tell us more there. If he's fit he'll average 100+.

Ball should step straight back into that in and under role, freeing Beams up even more, and easily average 90. Absolute steal at that price and I'll upgrade him through the year.

kilbluff1985

Def, like your structure and most of your player choices but think there are better options then Reilly give this line 9/10

Mids, Again like most of your player choices but i consider Redden more of a DT  player then SC i'd prefer someone like Fyfe over him but i think this midfield could be a bit weak compaired to others i have seen and give it 8.5/10

Rucks, McEvoy is a great unique pick i cant fault your player choices at this stage 10/10

Forwards, Nic Nat might not be 100% for round 1 so monitor him otherwise i really like your player choices and structure give this line 9/10

so that's 36.5/40

So it's Friday and SC is far more interesting than work so I've had another rejig. Gone completely away from any midpricer (barring Luey who will be up above 500k by years end) and stuck to a pretty pure GnR strategy. What do you think?

BACKS
Goddard, Gibbs,  Heppell,  Broughton,  Goodes,  Pittard
Docherty, Terlich

MIDS
Pendlebury, Watson, Kennedy, Cotchin, Murphy, Crouch, O’Meara, Viney
Mitchell, Vlastuin

RUCKS
Leuenberger, Gorringe
Currie, McBean

FWDS
Franklin, Cox, Rockliff, Thomas, Martin, Staker
Kerridge, Lee

I've got 15 players there who I think could at least be top ten in their positions. I'm also happy with the quality of rookies except for maybe Kerridge & Docherty (and the two rucks on the pine but there aint a lot to choose from).

Probably pretty safe to assume people still won't like the Luey/Gorringe combo but if it makes you fell better imagine it with Cox switched to the rucks and Kerridge on the field in the forwards. Personally I think this year Gorringe can make an impression. This is one article that really peaked my interest in him:

hmm i think Stevie J or Rockliff are close to a must haves i also like Martin, Lewis or Robbo i think Buddy might be the one to drop he has a really tough early draw would make him your 1st upgrade target and dropping him would give you extra cash

That's fair. Ok, so final couple of changes, then I'll leave you alone. Still a few players being thought about (Sandi, Rockliff, Wines) but this is the guts of it:

29K remaining. Rookies TBC, bye rounds I'm not overly concerned, tackle them around round 9...

[edit] in fact, just looking at that as much as I say bye rounds I'm not concerned, round 11 could suck... dammit!

Back: Goddard , Gibbs , broughton , bock , staker , terlich ( goodes , Doherty )

Rucks : Mumford , leuenburger ( grundie , gawn )

Forwards: franklin , Martin , cloke , sylivia , macaffer , kerridge ( Rowe , membrey )

Will be updating list during nab cup , looking at all the rookies , I'm sure there will be changes for all teams !

yep well done mate i really like that team but i'd still just like to have one one of Roughead or Cox and a M/F type instead that's just me being picky otherwise i love it Stevie J instead of Roughy might be an idea to escape the round 11 dilemma

having another crack at it.... hopefully its a 40 LOL

keepz kill krew Fanplanner squad in the Super Coach competition coached by Keeper27. Salary cap left: $200.

Brendon Goddard (C/B), Bryce Gibbs (C/B), Pearce Hanley, Greg Broughton (F/B), Jasper Pittard, Sam Docherty
Sam Colquhoun (C/B), Dean Terlich

Gary Ablett jnr, Scott Pendlebury, Josh P. Kennedy, Trent Cotchin, David Mundy, Jaeger O'Meara, Jack Viney, Brad Crouch
Jesse Lonergan, Kane Mitchell

Todd Goldstein, Matthew Leuenberger
Brodie Grundy, Liam McBean (R/F)

Patrick Ryder (R/F), Taylor Walker, Tom Rockliff (C/F), Steve Johnson (C/F), Travis Varcoe (C/F), Brent Staker (F/B)
Brent Macaffer, Tom Lee

so what do you think??

Hanley will continue to kill it and a 95+ avg would be realistic (and great  ;D)
Mundy around the 110ish mark is reasonable.
Paddy and Walker will IMO kill it this year. 105ish for this pair.
(also if Leuey goes down again i can move Paddy to the rucks)

should i change Stevie J to Dusty to free up some cash??

felsty

How about this team KB

B: Goddard, Gibbs, Grimes, Broughton, Pittard, Goodes (Terlich, Stevenson)
M: Ablett, Pendlebury, JPKennedy, Cotchin, Murphy, Stevens, OMeara, Crouch (Viney, Hunter)
R: Goldstein, Luenberger (Witts, Daw)
F: Cox, Rockliff, SJohnson, DMartin, Staker, Macaffer (Hitchcock, Lee)

def, very nice player choices and i like the structure give it 10/10

mids, again cant fault this line very nice player choices and i like the structure seems very strong 10/10

Rucks, standard 10/10

Forwards, i like your player choices being an Essendon fan i do like Ryder but i think Roughead will average more then him i think he might be a better choice but i like this line still it's very strong  10/10

so that's 40/40 ;D :o

Suggestions, wow m8 think it's the best team i have seen tbh all your lines are pretty strong cash is very well spent i know rookies will change but think Wines & Crouch are must haves

no team is perfect but i cant fault yours besides maybe Roughead instead of Ryder

Mids, cant fault this line really but think you might be spending a bit to much cash here would rather see Fyfe/Mundy @M5 give this line 9/10

Rucks, standard 10/10

Forwards, like your player choices but structure wise i like to try and have Varcoe/Knights in at F5 SO GIVE IT 9/10

so that's 38/40  :)

Suggestions, score might be a bit harsh it's just about perfect for me but i really like to see Varcoe/Knights @F5 think you should downgrade your mids a bit maybe to get one in like Murphy to Fyfe/Mundy or something and maybe you could downgrade Cox to Roughhead i think Cox is a bit overpriced think his scores will decline a bit this season
