Ok bluffman, I got a crazy idea for a team with the 30 trades it could be worth some thought, trading those midpricers to premo's who do drop in value because of huge averages, or is it just not going to pay off? Cheers

Trengove has to rise 100-150k surely? Bock could play Round one, Steven has to get games?

What would be the best way to spend the extra cash? Cheers

wont do my normal review unless you want me to

i don't mind your midfield i like teams with smokies in there 5-6 mid spots however you could lose games early vecause it's not very strong compared to a lot of teams that will have 5 super premiums and maybe Ball/Embley as there 6th mid and honestly think i'd prefer you to have Ball/Embley over Trengrove they will probably average the same if not more and they are like 100k cheaper

defense i think is where you need to spend the cash and honestly upgrade Bock you could use the cash from getting Ball in for Trengrove to get Goddard who i think is a must have was promised midfield time at Essendon can only see his average increasing

forwards i like the strategy of stacking up here at this stage due to not many forward rookies look like getting games but i thinkyou should have Sttaker on the field so you could maybe drop one for a rookie and spend the cash elsewhere

hope that helped kinda just woke up lol

tbagrocks

Ok I swapped Bock>Gods and Trengove>Ball

Bock could play Round one and I just thought he'd be similar to Lake, Goddard could boom early I guess I was trying to cheat a bit :P

You're right about Trengove, could go over 90 even 100 but for his price probably not worth it with Ball/Embley. It'll be a shame for me to start without Kennedy and Sloane come Rd 1

I'm really struggling with the forward line, want to fit in Daisy, De Boer, Wellingham, Zorko, even Knights if he plays a good role in nab

i like your forward line as it is for now though Cloke for Christensen could be a safer pick surely Cloke will do better this season and he looks pretty good sitting in your 5th spot

Def, think Bock is a waste of money personally plenty of rookie options that look like they will get games but i don't think Dylan Van Unen will be one of them that gets games unless the Bombers get injuries besides those 2 i like your player choices but not the structure i prefer just 4 premos so i give this line 7.5/10

Mids, like most of your player choices but personally don't trust Murphy when he gets tagged i would not be starting with him but that's just me :) of you drop Bock for a rookie you could upgrade Ball/Embley which would make your Mids really strong think there are better rookie options then Dwyer don't like his JS give this line 8/10

Rucks, not a fan of Mumford don't trust his body holding up give don't think McBean will get games i hope just for the sake of DPP you don't have him in over a possibly playing rookie give this line 9/10

Forwards, i like most of your player choices but don't think you need 2 R/F options in this line while there are not many forward rookie options to choose from there are some better options then Rowe and Membrey for that matter give this line 9/10

so that's 33.5/40

some of that negative score is just rookie choices whilst it doesn't matter much at this stage i think it matters to know the right guys to keep an eye on will list a few

Def, Staker, Pittard, L Osborne, Docherty, Stevenson, Vlastuin, Colquhoun - all better options then Dylan Van Unen

Mids, i think Oliver Wines is a lock would have him over Dwyer he is a must have

Forwards, Lee, Kennedy, Staker (B/F),  i'd have in over Membrey

Rucks - Nic Nat, Burger (Gawn, McBean)

Def, like all of your player choices think Yarran could do really well under Malthouse this season and i like the structure give this line 9/10

Mids,
like all your player choices and the structure cant really fault at this stage give it 10/10

Rucks, questions will be on Nic Nat's fitness after having pre season surgery monitor him closely but i along with others see more value in Goldstein very underpriced now that HMAC has left give this line 9/10

Fwds, really like your player choices think this could be Martin's year and the other 3 blokes are solid choices give this line 10/10

so that's 38/40  :)

really nice team not many suggestions i could make but how much cash you got left? if you got Goldy in for Nic Nat could you afford Varcoe as your 5th forward? this would make your team look really strong imo :)

Thanks for the thoughts...

21k left... Rookie selections are going to make or break like every year.

Been toying with nic nat in the forward line with goldy in the ruck but figured stevie J head to head with goldy that stevie J wins given that he averaged 115 in the last 15 rounds when u take out his score of 3...

The goal with this team will be to slot nic nat into the forward line and pick up the best performing ruck ahead of the byes

Taken on board commentsabout r/f Mr Bean is now R/F.
Strengthen forwards with Stevie J instead le frog; knights to Varcoe ?
but cutting costs in midfield shedding Selwood and Wines for Del Santo (M4 still undecided) and cheap rookie DPP (Atkins) ,
cosmetic change in backline one PA for another PA player to save a few $ss

n/b Rookie positions in back  mids and rucks flexible; only forward line cheapies are set in concrete

kilbluff1985

hmmm i like it but not the NDS choice i'd prefer Greene/Ebert/Fyfe over him think any of these 3 can be elite midfielders in 2013 or do just as good as NDS

i like seeing unique picks in teams i'm considering starting 2 or 3 of those blokes in my mids i guess NDS is unique but i think he will decline along with the rest of his team this year

basil3134

Actually I wanted Shuey instead of NDS but was just short of funds. That is what I meant by M4 being far from decided. My rationale was that NDS might regain his 2010 form but having thought about it now realize it was Lenny Hayes absence benefitted him . Thanks for the hint.
