Hi guys thought i'd make a thread for suggestions as most of the other guys seem to be on Holidays so post your team and i'll let you know what changes i would make.

12 hours should be the longest you have to wait even that's unlikely but you might catch me when i'm asleep otherwise will respond fairly quickly.

lol wrong section i know

CrowsFan

If you know it's the wrong section maybe delete this and post a new one in the right section? ;)

kilbluff1985

i reported it asking HP To move it cant delete it now that you have replied wont let me

Justin Bieber

I saw that this was reported so came on to move it. It wasn't under active reports so thought somebody else saw to it. Alas, it was under old reports but nothing was done, so lucky I checked them :P.

lol thanks for posting mate you caught me just before bed time

Def - i really like this structure and honestly cant fault it have to give it 10/10 pretty solid rookies also for this stage of the pre season

Mids- i like every single selection here besides Murphy i started with him last year he did well until he got tagged and has not proven he can handle one yet so i don't like the idea of starting him i'd watch him for an upgrade target personally but many disagree with me so you might to lol but otherwise i like the structure give it 9/10 replace Murphy you would get a 10

Rucks- Standard and cant see any faults have to give 10/10

Fwds- honestly love your choices here 4 guns some dont rate Martin but i do and Varcoe is a good way to spend left over cash give this line 10/10 to

so that's 39/40

i honestly really like this team structered similar to most of my teams at this stage your cash is nice an evenly spread, and as i have said cant really fault it besides my personal opinion of Murphy

so well done mate very nice

Def, i really like and cant fault think it's the best structure for this line 10/10

Mids, this is where it get's interesting i don't mind your approach but i think you are spending to much cash here with 5 guys with the lowest being 588k i mean Priddis is a good POD but i'd prefer a player around 500-550k or lower that you think can lift there game just for example Fyfe or Hannebery, also as i said previously i don't like the choice of Murphy until he shows he can handle a tag would prefer him to be an upgrade target, also worth noting 3 of your 5 premos have round 13 byes so i give this line 7.5/10 maybe harsh but easily fixed

Rucks, fairly standard and nice have to give 10/10

Fwds, obviously your weakest line which i don't really like your player choices are fine though i'd give it 7/10

so that's 34.5/40

now what i suggest doing is getting someone cheaper then either Priddis or Murphy Like a Fyfe or whoever you like, also would consider getting Golby/Atley/Yarran in for Birchall for extra cash to spend in the forward line

if you have to go with 3 premos in 1 line i'd prefer it in defense because there seems to be a lot more defender rookies likely to get games this season

i made up a team to show an example of the above structure which i'm considering using myself

TEAM NAME: FIGJAM
DEF: B. Goddard, B. Gibbs, G. Broughton, N. Vlastuin, L. Osborne, B. Goodes (J. Pittard, S. Docherty)
MID: S. Pendlebury, J. Watson, T. Cotchin, A. Swallow, N. Fyfe, L. Ball, O. Wines, B. Crouch (J. O'Meara, J. Viney)
RUC: T. Goldstein, M. Leuenberger (M. Daw, S. Rowe)
FWD: D. Cox, D. Zorko, T. Rockliff, S. Johnson, T. Cloke, B. Staker (T. Lee, B. Kennedy)
CASH LEFT: $16,500

instead of Ball you could get Golby/Yarran in Def but i think Ball will average more for cheaper but yeah that's an example

Def, is not to bad but i'm not a fan of having Pederson as 5th defender think his price is to high, think there are some better rookie choices even at this stage then Jaksch and O'Shea give this line 8/10

Mids, your player choices are fine but i think you need another premo mid you will lose to many point to teams that have 5-6 premo mids imo give this line 8/10

Rucks, player choices are ok but i have no trust in Mumford's body and would prefer Rowe over McBean for a DPP link McBean is to skinny very unlikely to play give this line 8/10

Fwds, spending a bit to much cash with both Cox and Franklin imo and Zorko is a bit of a risk to have as your 3rd fwd i'd prefer Rockliff and think you need to get in Varcoe for one of these guys so one you drom Pederson you can afford another premo mid i give this line 8/10

so that's 32/40 overall not bad for a team at this stage the score make it seems worse then it is i guess just not a fan of your structure

Cheers for the feedback. I thought stacking up on premiums to start was a good idea for the sake of maybe being able to get ahead early, especially with my bad habit of being trigger happy with trades. I have thought of going with a mid pricer in the mids or someone like Fyfe, Wallis, Hannebery. Also, I did have Ball but decided against it just because I felt the Pies' mids will be stealing a lot of points off each other. I'm quite happy with Priddis because I've had him before and he's delivered for me. I too am iffy on Murphy but included him because I feel he should be able to do much better this season than last which was hampered by his injury. If I do downgrade Murphy to someone like Jack or one of the other three I mentioned, I'll definitely use that to improve my forwards, most likely ditching Menzel. I'm really keen on Bock if he's good to go for Round 1. Another player I have thought about is Monfries who apparently did well in that game in London against the Dogs. Might even go with him.

Thanks for the great feedback as a result of which a few changes. 3 prem def with O'Shea, Jaksch,L Osborne, Pittard and Terlich. All of which depend on NAB form and Rd.1 selections, a big watch on O'Shea.
Mid is now   G Ablett,D Beams, J Kennedy,P Dangerfield, N Fyfe,K Stevens, O Wines, J Lonerqan, J O'Meara + J Viney
Ruck   D Cox, M Leuenberger,M Daw + L McBean (don't think either Rowe or McBean will play, McBean is cheaper)
Forwards are now J Roughead(R/F), T Rockliff, D Martin, T Cloke(can't do any worse than 2012 and priced accordingly),S Wellingham, B Staker, T Lee + J Lamb.
There are very few players with a lower 2013 starting price than their 2012 finishing price, but Beams and Dangerfield are two. Beams was about $685 to $657 and Dangers is about $646 to $638. Not sure if this represents a bargain or the stats people are trying to tell us something. Cheers again and will fill my def last, less loss.

Def, really strong line considering your 4 premos are so expensive and 4 of the best i really don't think you need Pederson as i have said previously there are enough rookie defenders that should get games don't need to waste your money on him give this line 9/10

Mids, i like your player choices but if Ball struggles your really going to struggle to beat opposition teams that have 5-6 premo mids but it's still not bad i give it 8.5/10

Rucks, standard and nice cant fault it 10/10

Fwds, overall i like your player choices but not sure about spending 1.2mil on 2 players in your forwards being Cox and Buddy i know you have Cox for DPP but even if you need him in your rucks and sub him there your forward line will be really weak also i believe Cox's scores will decline a bit as he is getting older how long can he keep it going? just don't think he is worth the 600k in your forwards you could consider Ryder or Roughead give this line 8/10

so that's 35.5/40 overall

the money saved from dropping Pederson to a rookie and Cox to Ryder/Roughead can be spent on another forward or mid which makes your team looked more balanced i think

oh yeah Thomas had/having pre season ankle surgery so watch him very closely

btw i think unless Nic Nat is fit come round 1 the DPP ruck scenario is fairly overrated just my opinion
