I know it's too early to be thinking too much about rookies, but I don't like paying high prices for them after being burnt by Coniglio last year. The fact is, there are rookies who will score the same, if not more for around 60-70k less. The only downside is that they have slightly less JS.

I reckon you should downgrade Bock to Pittard, Toumpas to Hrovat, Whitfield to Viney (must have), and then you'll have the cash to upgrade Varcoe to an elite mid.

god only knows where all this love for Lake is coming from i blame Jukes lol

otherwise i cant fault it well done

tbagrocks

I like a Collingwood man selecting the biggest ball winner of the U18's (Kennedy of course)

But some odd selections there CW ???, decent picks but a few of them will lose value

Just be wary of Selwood, he is underpriced but he let me down last year and I don't think he can ave to much more along with the massive injury/rest risk

Though i'm sure you're going risky because of the 44 trades it still looks risky even to me :o

Ditto and well said. Geelong's best players have all gotten rested the past 2 years, makes them just about a no-go zone for me (Stevie J the only exception).

good point guys, Selwood isn't the type (and being captain) to get rested much, but either he or murphy may have to turn into Ball if Ball is flying in nab cup mainly just to upgrade a couple of rooks, pendleberry to Beams, broughton or lake to a hanley or grimes and potentially a fwd upgrade also ( franklin would be nice)

I think Lake will be gold at Hawthorn with their game style his junk possessions plus genuine possessions should see him average 90+ comfortably and he has proven most of his career rather durable. With the hawks backline also it will be hard for opposition teams to single him out for attention given the amount of dangerous players they have back there...

The " Ball option"

The Ball Option gives me the following;

Beams over Pendles
Franklin over Walker
Hanley over Broughton

Upgraded a fwd rook into daniher but being a KPP I doubt I will keep him.

Upgraded a defender rook to Staker, but as with Varcoe and Macaffer we will have to see how they all look in nab cup.

I could have afforded Pendles instead of Murphy, but even tho we don't need all our players to score in the bye rounds having

Swan, Beams, Pendles, Ball all in the midfield may be too many Pies even for me :)

I was a few quid short of cotchin or I'd take him over murph which i may still do if I can find a basement price rook in fwd or def to pick up through nab cup and downgrade daniher to a basic rook also.

If luenberger or ball have a set back then it's back to the drawing board :)

Reckon there are better options than Selwood nowadays anyway.  8)

Beams over Pendles:  Reckon there is more value in Scotty P.

Franklin over Walker: Is better, but Franklin has a pretty tough start to the year.

Hanley over Broughton: I've cooled on Broughton, twice bitten, thrice never again.

Whats the chance of T Mitchell getting games?

no idea, but there are no shortages of mid rooks, nab cup will decide all my rookie spots, they are totally irrelevant at this point.

Adamant

I'd definitely go Pendles over Beams, much better value!

pendles over beams in SC but beams is the new swan, must have for DT in my humble opinion. I would drop ablett before i dropped beams... ablett may carry less workload this season which may help him in fantasy or hinder him, but beams is still getting better and Ball doing all the dirty work should help him not hinder him, and pendles tackles too much for DT :) not enough swanning around the pack getting cheap possessions :) bit like dangerfield was until last season where he added the cheap stats to his fantasy game nicely.

Still pendles is safe as houses but i think i'll take the slight punt on Beams given the ridiculous trade rules the risk is almost gone

i disagree, Beams definitely over Pendles in DT but Pendles over Beams in SC as CW said.
