How about running Varcoe as the 5th mid, still gives you that DPP and will outscore a rookie.

That doesn't necessarily work. If all your premo F/C players are playing but your rookie forwards aren't, you would have to trade to get Varcoe into your forward line. He would also be taking the onfield spot of a scoring mid rookie.
If you have a rookie F/C in your forward line to swap him with then you may as well line them up that way.
Of course if a premo F/C is missing a game it would be useful.

LOL that's what we do wobble but 2013 we will wobble less, as will my DT. Lots of work to go on this team yet, and a lot of catching up on preseason form and news before anything is locked away....

More tinkering this is my last effort pre prospectus (waiting at PO for me to pick up). Preseason and nab cup form means everything and I would love another elite midfielder i think....

Gee boss that's an incredibly risky team, lookout for injury restricted players during february, do like some selections like Toumpas, imo should be one of the rooks that plays and does better than most

Looks ok. Not sure nicnat and bock are likely to be fit round 1. But i rate both highly especially nicnat who will one day break out. Its just a matter of when.

bock, howard, varcoe, walker, all the rooks, nicnat (health) and goldy (form) are all far from locked into my side...

The mcaffer and staker picks are just to cover the cost of whatever rookie might look to be a must have come round 1....

Howard I am certain will have a breakout season with no lake, gilbee, hargrave he is the doggies defensive playmaker now. but we will see. Bock is an essential player for the suns he should make me $200K pretty quick if he keeps fit...

as for the rest of it who knows thats what preseason is for.

in fact only these players if fully fit with solid preseasons are locked
