dont say Watson because he isnt going to be much longer.....

i assume you will say clarke (who stopped bowling because of his back)

PowerBug

Mike Hussey is the All Rounder, or Matthew Wade. Maybe Phil Hughes should be thrown the ball. ;D

They can play Cutting as a bowling allrounder, it's just not gonna happen in this test. Maxy's got the opportunity this time around, Cutting should be the next man they look at though. Anyway, Starc's definitely in and Bird's likely to be running the drinks.

Okay. With the news of Hussey retiring and all this talk about Khawaja, Maxwell, Cutting and selection of the Aussie side. What do we all think the Aussie side will roughly look like come the first Ashes test?

Does Khawaja come in for Hussey? Are Patto/Cummins among the first choice pacemen?

Going from what Clarke said in the interview when the announce the team any of the 13 could play or could miss out.

Maxwell replaces Watson in the 13 but not necessarily in the starting lineup.

So Maxwell could play instead of Lyon or they could play 2 spinners and either Johnson, Siddle or Bird miss out. They could play Johnson as the alrounder and Starc replaces Watson.

It does look like Khawaja will only play if Clarke can't and it looks like Starc will definitely play

This policy is now affecting batsmen...

Warner, Clarke, Mr Cricket all rested by CA for the first two games  -  WTF???

MR CRICKET ISN'T COMING TO ADELAIDE AGAIN!!!! PUCK YOU SELECTORS!!!!

colmullet

absolute joke of a team

Dropping Hussey with a look to 2015 for the world cup is sort of understandable...although u would like him to go out on his terms......but then bring back Haddin instead of Paine is a joke after saying your looking forward.

Then to rest Warner, the guy who brings spectators through the gates is a big stuff up....if i had a ticket for those games i wouldn't be happy, you go to see the best players in Australia but you neve rknow who you are going to see these days, de-values representing your country aswell

the current line up is not worthy of being labelled "Summer's Biggest Party"

Australia's Biggest Dress Up party in Adelaide :O That'll be fun to go to. Regardless of who's playing.

Don't forget the Lankans are actually good at ODI's, and they'll push the Australian XI whoever is playing.

Yeah, the Lankans can actually play One Day cricket. However, they'll want some of their players back from injury.
