How many premo's can you start with?

If you're including *fallen premiums* my irl team has 17 premos; 12 true premiums carrying on from last season and then Mundy, Embley, Leuenberger and, to a lesser extent, Cloke and Lake.

I knew that  ;) like i said probably a good Supercoach team ( last year i think the winner started with 8 rooks in the midfield) i think you need about 14-15 premo's spread evenly between the positions.

I've only got 12 + Embley, Pedo, Berger & Varcoe. This year I'm making sure I start with the premos I am nearly 100% sure will avg and/or score in the top 10 for their position.

I would say my only riskyish premium pick from a points view is De Boer and I'm confident he can push his avg to 90+

He averaged 94 without the 200. Can't see him averaging 97+ this season so is overpriced and a big no for me, and seeing as my whole forward line may be keepers (Rocky, Thomas, Robbo, Walker, Wright, Cloke) might miss out all together for Goodfellas 2013.

IMO Buddy had a poor year by his standards, they lost the GF and he should have fire in his belly

Spite not having Buddy in that forward line will hurt you to much

I dont mind to much people not starting with Buddy as he can be a little inconsistent, going for guys that will give you X amount consistently over Buddy who probably has a higher ceiling but can be inconsistent isnt such a disastrous move as some would think.
Buddy didnt have a great year last year i know but he missed the top 6 by a long margin and id almost bet in DT that he wont be top 6 in 2013 for season averages but in a league situation he can be a match winner.

ummm, what? franklin was averaging 107 before he got injured... his 72 against GWS was in one half and significantly drops his scoring, as does his final games in the HA season, which were just to get fitness back after a month and a half out.  Then he averaged 107 again over finals. Out of everyone with forward eligibility, he still had a higher average than them all this year. On average DT points, he was 4th, despite his injury dropping his scores.

Even despite injury, he still was only just outside of the top 25 for forwards for overall points... if you assume that you would have had a 70 average rookie covering him while he was out, starting with franklin, even having to bench him, still would have finished in essence top 6 for overall points, franklin + 70 rookie cover= 2039 points.

My mistake on his rank was 4th overall last year for eligible fwds with an avg of 101.19 for the year.
His 1st five games in 2012 were 130, 72, 118, 76 and 71 he can put in a few 70's and wasnt injured then.
1st 4 games in 2013 are Cats, 72 last year played once only. Averages against them 89.
then WC played twice last year for a 76 and 76. Averages against them 65.
then Pies, played them once last year for 130. Averages against them 99.
last of the 1st four in 2013 is Freo played once for 81 last year. Averages against them 66.
As i said he can put in some ordinary ones with three 70's in his 1st five games last year
and from his 16 games in 2012 6 of them were 70+ or less.
I'll stand by my statement that he can be inconsistent.
