True Grazz I get boo'd for existing, well I'm encouraging TJ to join in the fun and enjoyment of contributing to the site, cm'on mate I dare ya to join in!

I join in as much as I feel the need/have the time to tbag. Not everyone can be on here 24/7. There is no wrong or right amount of posts to make per week.
Im simply giving an opinion on why I think the booing thing is a flawed and abused tool and should be removed
No probs, all good, people choose wether to boo or cheer, the coaches or seasoned posters don't boo anyway the cheer/boo could be coming from the hundreds of users that don't post

Anyway so, how about stop booing me every hour you're online? ZGot a little grudge do ya pal? How about letting it go?

I'd expect no less from a Port Adelaide supporter

The Port supporter said to the doctor, "where' the other half of my brain, I can't find it?", the Doc says "I can't find it", so the Port supporter says "Exactelly"

Lol that's pretty lame

I stopped using Yahoo! Answers because of the thumbs up/thumbs down thing, mainly because some answers were stupid or people would troll, hence why they got a thumbs down. It wouldn't make much of a difference. I'm fairly sure half the reason people cheer or boo a person is because they don't agree with their post. Yet I joined FF with the cheers/boos which is almost the same. It doesn't faze me these days, but I'm not one for controversy or pointless fights over the internet so I watch what I say. However, if I did get more boos, I wouldn't really care. I think the system is fine though, from what I've seen in my four months here, nobody really cares about cheers/boos.

Thats where you're wrong though. People do care. Thats why people have voted yes, get rid of the boo's.
As I have said, people that have been on here for a length of time know not to care. People that are new (who are equally as important to the forum and its growth) do care. I can garuntee it is one of the main reasons that the forum has a core group that have stuck on here and a stack load of people that come and go. There is no doubt its intimidating to post your opinion or thoughts on a forum when you know that all of the people on there know each other and have been on there together for a long time. Then when you make a comment you get boo'd 10 times... Really encouraging.

And it's not just trollers that get boo'd If I go onto the Richmond page and start a thread as to why I think Richmond will miss out on the 8 and Hardwick will be sacked at the end of the year. I would cop 20 boo's within 5 minutes garunteed. It wouldnt matter how good my reasons were or if I had some really strong evidence. Its a statement that rubs people the wrong way and they will boo boo boo for voicing an opinion.
On the other hand i could come on with a 10 page report with every player analysed and graded and I might get the odd cheer or 2.
I have taken close notice of it recently. Its just wrong really
It is true that if you started a post on the Richmond page or any team page for that matter saying that they wont make the 8 and their coach will be axed you will always get booed by their fans and never get cheered even if you are correct.  I can see Hardwick getting the axe if they don't make the 8 but I don't know much about the Tigers team to justify them not making the 8. But this is not to say that its the Tigers fans that are the ones that are booing you. There are some real passionate fans out there and nobody likes hearing that their team will struggle and not make the 8.

I agree with hat you are saying and thats why there are alot of threads in Rate my DT/SC that dont have many replies on them. I believe people have stopped commenting on other peoples DT/SC teams as they know as soon as they make a comment on their team they will get booed if you dont say i 100% like your team and it will be a winner!!!

As long as you can justify what you are writing then i cant see a problem with what anyone writes. Writing a 10 page report on some players wont necessarily get you cheers either as if you write something that someone disagrees with then they will be booed for that one comment and not cheered for the rest of it.

If it makes you feel better, I cheered you because of your passion and dedication to this cause.  :)

Frog, I've been hit today, lol for a minute I had my cheers doing alright, there's the problem, what the frog did I do :-\

I expect it when I am out of line, or say Tex is the greatest ever, but for nothing ???

Ziplock

majority of people are voting against, so....?

Master Q

Tbag, you think you have done absolutely nothing wrong in this thread?

And for the record, I used to care about my ratio but now that I realise there is no such thing as cheering I don't mind anymore. Still against the system though.

Justin Bieber

I thought you said you don't care tbag? ::)

I don't even remember wat I was on yesterday lol. I get boo'd on average 4 boo's a day lo,

tbagrocks

What the frog did I ever do, you serious?

I get boo'd for having an opinion, what did I do wrong?

C'mon mate how do you get i did nothing when your second comment is this, "Not exactelly correct, newbies don't seem to get boo'd unless they post rubbish, or think they're better than everyone i.e, you and DT gun, or like me like to either be bias or controversial

Either way champ, maybe start contributing to the forum intead of whinging about trivial stuff!" surely you realise you werent handing out compliments here.

tbagrocks

Yeah ok sure, forgive me for fighting a know it all, still kinda fun though, but not my point of being here. Not going to prove innocence, Tex will always be great, Forums will always have trolls, and I will always be ready to look out for a troubled soul,

If I continued to be boo'd for a strong opinion, like foxtel are nazi's, then so be it!

Justin Bieber

What I've learnt. If you complain about boo's, you will get boo'd
