Sam Colquhoun, Dean Terlich

Gary Ablett jnr, Patrick Dangerfield, Trent Cotchin, Nathan Fyfe, Nick Vlastuin, Kane Mitchell, Brad Crouch, Jaeger O'Meara

Backs:

- Goddard, Waters, Gibbs and Hartlett all capable of being top 6 averaging defenders

- Pedersen a great UVP (Under Valued Player) option

- Staker, Colquhoun and Terlich all good rookie options, however Terlich will be fighting for spots with Strauss, Garland and Nicholson

- Really good structure, and is my preferred one

- A C/B rookie, which is good

Rating: 9.75/10

Midfield:

- Ablett, Dangefield and Cotchin all capable of being top 8 averaging mids

- Fyfe a good UVP option

- All good rookie picks, bar Jones. Cannot see him getting games early and cant see him getting many at all

- A C/B rookie which is good but no C/F rookie which is worrying

- Very good structure

Rating: 9/10

Rucks:

- Maric a good premium pick as he is capable of being a top 2 averaging mids

- Leuenberger a great UVP, as he will generate a lot of cash

- Grundy a good rookie pick as he will fight for a spot

- Currie a good pick as he or Daw should back up Goldstein when injured

- No R/F rookie, which isnt overly worrying

Rating: 10/10

Forwards:

- Franklin too over priced for me, however with the amount of people jumping off could be fairly unique

- Naitanui, Cox and Franklin all capable of being top 6 averaging forwards. Naitanui currently injured so keep track of that

- Rioli i don't like the pick of as i see him as an Inbetweener (Refer to my Team Selection Thread), but he is fairly borderline so could be seen as both a Inbetweener or UVP by some

- One of my preferred structures

- Keep track of Daniher as he has just had some minor surgery

- Mayes and Macaffer good rookie picks

- Can't see Atkins playing much, however could be good for loophole purposes

- A C/F rookie which is good

Rating: 9.5/10

Final Rating: 38.25/40

True there is but one is enough & this far out I'm not confident on who is gunna be my other M/F rook.

I'm not confident on any ATM. Menzel? Bennedy? Atkins? Kerridge? Mayes (a touch expensive)?

Yeah i'm still not settled either. Will have a non playing one (Speight currently) and a playing one, but may just go with Varcoe as a playing one, at a bit higher value.
Haha, that is what I suspect I'm going to do to.  ;D

Could work very very well next year.  :)

Hi MTTY, love your work and would love some work on my team.

Stretched this one out to the limit, only $5000 left. Most concern are the rookeis although if you think there could be some better UVP's which I should at least consider then let me know.

B. Goddard, B. Gibbs, D. Heppell, G. Broughton, L, Osbourne, J. Pittard
J. Thurlow, D. Terlich

S. Pendlebury, T. Cotchin, M. Murphy, J. P. Kennedy, D. Mundy, K. Stevens, J. O'Meara, B. Crouch
B. Goodes, T. Menzel

T. Goldstein, M. Leuenberger
S. Rowe, J. Witts

N. Naitanui, T. Rockliff, S. Johnson, D. Thomas, R. Gray, T. Lee
B. Staker B. Kennedy

Remaining: $5,100

Backs:

- Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell and Broughton all capable of being top 6 averaging defenders, Heppell being a little less so

- Good rookies, but Terlich will be fighting for spots with Garland, Strauss and Nicholson. Like Thurlow personally, but i am doubtful he will get games early

- Good structure

- No C/B rookie is a worry

- Broughton and Heppell great UVP (Under Valued Player) options

Rating: 9/10

Midfield:

- Pendlebury, Cotchin, Murphy, Kennedy and Mundy all capable of being top 8 averaging mids

- Mundy and Murphy great UVP's

- Not one of my preferred structures but i can see the value of starting strong in the mids

- Good rookie picks as all should be in contention for round 1

- A C/B and C/F rookie, which is good to see

Rating: 10/10

Rucks:

- Goldstein a great UVP as he should make you cash and could be top 2 averaging rucks

- Leuenberger a great UVP as he will earn you a lot of cash

- Rowe a good R/F choice

- Witts i don't like the selection of as i think Grundy is ahead of him

Rating: 9.5/10

Forwards:

- Naitanui, Rockliff, Johnson and Thomas all capable of being top 6 averaging forwards. Keep an eye on Naitanui as he is currently recovering from an injury

- Apparently Gray will not be ready for round 1

- Big fan of the structure

- All good rookies

- A C/F rookie, which is good to see

Rating: 9.5/10

Final Rating: 38/40

Hi MTTY,

l've got a team here with a different structure to most, due mainly to what l see as a serious lack of good cheap forward options

D  Goddard d/m, Gibbs d/m, Broughton d/f, Osborne, Goodes d/m, Stevenson ........Pittard, Terlich (but Colquhuon, Docherty etc could be there)

M  Ablett, Swan, Pendles, Murphy, Redden, Embley, Lonergan, Viney........O'Meara, Crouch

R  Goldstein, Luenberger ........ Daw, Rowe r/f

Roughead r/f, Rockliff m/f , Thomas m/f, Cloke, Kennedy, Varcoe m/f ........Staker d/f, Lee

Thanks MTTY! However I reckon Jones will get game seeing as Magner wasn't promoted from the rookie list. He's meant to be a good run and carry player so that may compliment Viney and Jones. Also regarding Atkins i'm struggling to find many good cheap foward rookies, and yeah if Nic Nat is still injured come NAB i'll probably jump on Ryder.

Hey Mtty

My good ladies side.
Cant change top 4 backs or mids, or top 5 forwards  :o
She has had them last 2 years.
Won 3 of her leagues last year.
Only plays supercoach.

TEAM NAME: Sues Team
DEF: B. Goddard, H. Shaw, B. Houli, M. Suckling, D. Morris, J. Pittard (B. Staker, S. Colquhoun)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, D. Swan, S. Pendlebury, J. Kennedy, A. Embley, B. Goodes, K. Mitchell, T. Mitchell (J. O'Meara, B. Crouch)
RUC: T. Bellchambers, M. Leuenberger (M. Gawn, C. Sinclair)
FWD: J. Bartel, S. Johnson, D. Thomas, T. Cloke, N. Bock, C. Knights (T. Lee, B. Kennedy)

Backs:

- Goddard and Shaw both capable of being top 6 averaging backs

- Houli i don't like the pick of as he is an Inbetweener (Refer to my Team Selection Thread) and will not make you enough cash or be in the top 6 averaging defenders

- Suckling a good UVP (Under Valued Player) option

- All of your rookies should play round 1, although Morris scores won't be too high so there could be better options

- A C/B rookie, which is good to see

- Good structure

Rating: 9.5/10

Midfield:

- Ablett, Swan, Pendlebury and Kennedy all capable of being top 8 averaging mids

- Embley a great UVP pick

- All good rookies, although T.Mitchell's Job security is a worry

- Not one of my preferred structures but i do see the value in starting strong in the mids

- A C/B rookie, which is good but no C/F rookie is a worry

Rating: 9.25/10

Rucks:

- Bellchambers a good UVP as he could become a top 2 averaging ruck but if not then he should make the required amount of cash to be a good UVP

- Leuenberger a great UVP as he will make you a lot of cash

- Gawn a great rookie pick, who could take over Jamar as number 1

- Sinclair a solid R/F option

Rating: 10/10

Forwards:

- Bartel, Johnson and Thomas all capable of being top 6 averaging forwards

- Cloke, Bock and Knights all good UVP options

- Do not like the structure, feel you have over spent on this line

- Both good rookies

- No C/F rookie is a worry

Rating: 9/10

Final Rating: 37.75/40

Valid opinion but i see too many players ahead of him at the club. Magner will be immediately promoted i gather.

http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,69590.msg946056.html#msg946056     - Refer there to see why i think Jones wont get games

Atkins may be good to keep as he could help you with loopholes if he doesnt get games.

Hey MT, would love to get your opinion on my team. Knocked this up in about 10 minutes and tried to go a little unique, but perhaps have gone too far... Anyway this was my first draft and is bound to change countless times before the season start. Also note I haven't even looked at bye structure :-X

Goddard, Gibbs, Duffield, B. Smith, Vlastuin, Staker
Terlich, Colquhoun

Ablett, Beams, Dangerfield, Cotchin, Wines, Lonergan, Crouch, O'Meara
Towers, Viney

Goldstein, Leuenberger
Gawn, Grundy

Franklin, Cox, Rockliff, Thomas, Sylvia, Stringer
Menzel, Lee

Remaining Budget - $14,600

Backs:

- Goddard, Gibbs and Duffield all capable of being top 6 averaging mids

- Not really a fan of picking Smith, i feel he is a borderline Inbetweener (Refer to my Team Selection Thread)/UVP

- Not one of my preferred structures, but is fairly close

- All good rookies, however Terlich will be fighting for spots with Garland, Nicholson and Strauss

- A C/B rookie, which is good to see

Rating: 9.5/10

Midfield:

- Ablett, Beams, Dangerfield and Cotchin all capable of being in the top 6 averaging mids

- Great Structure

- All good rookies, Towers may be a worry with Job Security

- No C/B or C/F rookie is a worry

Rating: 9/10

Rucks:

- Goldstein a great UVP as he will generate cash and could be a top 2 averaging ruck

- Leuenberger a great UVP as he will generate loads of cash

- Gawn a good pick, he could over take Jamar as number 1 ruck

- Grundy a good pick as he will be fighting for a spot

- No R/F rookie isnt overly worrying

Rating: 10/10

Forwards:

- Franklin i see as over priced, however could be fairly unique with the amount of people jumping off him

- Franklin, Cox, Rockliff and Thomas all capable of being top 6 averaging forwards

- Sylvia a good UVP, only worry is his work ethic but Neeld could change that

- Good structure

- All good rookies

Here's my team
Def: Goddard, Gibbs, Birchall, Grimes, Bock, Pittard ( Terlich and Docherty)

Ruc: Goldstein and Luenberger (witts and Currie)

Fwd: Franklin, Rockliff, S Johnson, M Wright, Monfries, Staker (lee and macaffer)

about $5,000 Remaining

I'm not 100% happy with my forward line
and if the budget becomes bigger I would change Mundy  to fyfe
and Johnson to Nic naitanui

Backs:

- Goddard, Gibbs, Birchall and Grimes all capable of being top 6 averaging backs

- Good structure

- Bock a great UVP (Under Valued Player) option

- All good rookies, although Terlich will be fighting for spots with Garland, Nicholson and Strauss. Docherty i am worried won't see game time early on

- No B/C rookie is a worry

Rating: 9.25/10

Midfield:

- Ablett, Cotchin, Murphy and Mundy all capable of being top 8 averaging mids

- Mundy and Murphy are great UVP picks

- Ball and Varcoe also good UVP picks

- All good rookie picks, really like the pick of Hunter just watch for job security though

- Varcoe makes up for no C/F rookie but no C/B rookie is a worry

Rating: 9.5/10

Rucks:

- Goldstein a great UVP pick, as he should earn cash and could be a top 2 averaging ruck

- Leuenberger also a good UVP pick as he could generate a lot of cash

- Don't like the pick of Witts as i see Grundy ahead of him

- Currie a good option as either he or Daw should back up Goldstein if injured

Rating: 9.5/10

- Franklin is over priced in my opinion, however he could be fairly unique with the amount of people jumping off him

- Rockliff, Johnson, Franklin and Wright could all be top 6 averaging forwards

- Wright a great UVP

- Monfries i don't like the pick of as i see him as border line Inbetweener (Refer to my Team Selection Thread)/UVP. A role change could improve his scoring at Port though

- All good rookie picks

- A fairly good structure

- No C/F rookie is a worry

Rating: 9/10

Final Rating: 37.25/40

Thanks MTTY

Backs:

- Goddard, Gibbs and Grimes all capable of being top 6 averaging backs

- Not a huge fan of Golby as i see him as a bit of an Inbetweener (Refer to my Team Selection Thread), although he is borderline so could be seen as both an Inbetweener or UVP

- Terlich, Colquhoun and Goodes all good rookies, but Terlich will be competing with Garland, Strauss and Nicholson for spots

- Cameron i can't see getting many games, but his DPP may be valuable for Loophole purposes

- One of my preferred structres

- A C/B rookie, which is good to see

Rating: 9.25/10

Midfield:

- Ablett, Pendlebury, Kennedy and Cotchin all capable of being top 8 averaging mids

- Don't like the pick of Rich, as i see him as an Inbetweener (Refer to my Team Selection Thread) in that he will not make enough cash and will not be in the top 8 averaging mids

- One of my preferred structures

- Good rookie picks, although can't see Richardson or Atkins (To a lesser extent) getting games. However this could be handy for loophole purposes, but if doing it for that i would limit to one of them

Rating: 9.25/10

Rucks:

- Leuenberger a great UVP pick as he will generate a lot of cash

- Not a big fan or Jacobs, as i can't see him being top 2 averaging rucks, therefore i see him as an Inbetweener

- Gawn a good pick as he could overtake Jamar as number 1 this year

- McBean a R/F, which is good and could work well for loophole purposes

Rating: 9.5/10

- Cox, Pavlich, Rockliff and Johnson all capable of being top 6 averaging forwards

- One of my preferred structures

- All good rookies picks, but Kerridge i cannot see playing games. Could be good for loophole purposes though

- You have a C/F rookie which is good

Rating: 9.75/10

Final Rating: 37.75/40
Thank You MTTy will sit on this side to NAB cup.  Rich may become Fyfe if Fyfe shows up in NAB cup. Rookies may change but will be doing all I can to maintain DPP.

I will agree to disagree with you regarding Golby and Jacobs though.  Jacobs will continue to be Adelaides Number 1 ruckman and will average imo 105+ for the season  so consider him a prem.  Each year I try to pick a break out player and have been reasonably successful over the last 2 years (Hanley was my pick for this last year) and I believe Golby will be that player this year.  Will be playing a similar role to Hanley as well.  Could have possibly won the rising star if not for injury.
