I have a customer who plays FTP. He used to play and has recently re-joined. This is a link to his old team
http://www.fromthepavilion.org/club.htm?teamId=1231 which is now bot controlled. He has asked me to run for NAT Manager of Bangladesh and written an election speech for me ...

Hi there my Name is McRooster (MIchael in real life)

I am posting as I am interested in the position of Bangladesh National Manager.

I have been playing FTP for over 2 years now and believe i am gettng enough of an understanding to be able to manage a national team, although in saying that i know it isnt a one man show and that many personal are involved in the makeup of a National Management team and will therefore be filling all 3 of my assistant positions with the right personal.

If elected and with my own understanding i believe that my tea of assistants/various manager input and myself will be able to lead Bangladesh to some success in the future, although i unfortunately cant promise anything. The fact that Bangladesh is now in Division 1 after being in Division 3 at the start of last season for the One Day competition can heap lead to bigger and better things, even though we did go out in straight sets in the World Cup (taking nothing away from Turbz who has been a great and succesful Manager for Bangladesh for many seasons in both the Seniors and U19 teams).

On that note I hope i can get a chance to shine for and with Bangladesh.

VOTE 1 for McRooster

See what you think!

...Now apart from correcting his grammatical imperfections, should I run? I won't really do much, I would probably let him and any other assistants run the team. He has much more experience in the game than me, but can't run for election because of his newbieness. Some of you may have crossed paths with him before, he is a genuine and cool guy but has had run-ins with Ash previously regarding the ME.
Selfishly for me, if he/we are successful it should have a windfall for our professional relationship.

Regards,

Mc.

Why not... I've noticed that Parvez has put his hand up for Bangladesh again, and last season in the U19 election he was Block voted against in favour of Sutty. I bet there will be a chance for that to happen again. The only other thing I would suggest is to also post in the forums...

Go for it ;)

As Fletch said, why not? Can always try your hand at it if you think you're ready and think you can give the time into it. Assistants certainly can help alot at times. Just different from Club management and if you make a thread on the forums, have to answer some questions if asked (nobody running in Bangladesh has done so yet).

That's his new team?
If it is, he started some discussion in the Scottish forums :D.

I'm running again in Scotland, hard not to :P. And Shaggy is going for Sri Lanka 8).

:-[ Thanks Fletch.

Ignorance of such an important detail indicates I'm out my depth. I mean, I was never going to do the swimming anyway but further reading of the Code of conduct says to me that nomination is actually quite disrespectful.

My customer will just have to wait. If he wants the position bad enough, he'll just have to re earn his stripes.

I have withdrawn.

Read for a good laugh. Also by any chance that I actually get in, anyone who actually wants to manage the country can be my assistant and do all the work :P
