Let's have a look at the best options for adding the mid-pricer/break-out/cash-maker into our starting teams, who are the Sidebottom's, Waters and Clancee's of 13, Anyone else to add?

Forwards              pos   price        12-11 ave
Matty Wright         C/F  $438,700   85-65        Should improve his midfield out put
Sharrod Wellingham C/F $424,300  84-79        What will be his role at WC, will he improve
Matt De Boer         C/F  $434,000   84-62        Another who could step up in the midfield
Dustin Martin         C/F  $437,100  85-89         Will his off-field drama's cost him from improving on field?
Tom Hawkins          F    $409,500  79-61         Does he improve his output
Jarryd Blair            C/F  $409,300  79-71         Will he joing the long list of Collingwood DT stars
Lewis Jetta            C/F  $492,000  76-44         Can he be DT relevant
Luke Bruest            F    $389,100  75-64         Does he step up
Colin Sylvia            C/F  $393,100 76-90          Dare I say it
Luke Dahlhous        F    $384,300  74-63          Will the talanted Dog step it up this year
Travis Cloke            F    $383,600  74-95         011 was a huge year, can he re-live it
Allen Christensen    C/F  $381,200  74-68         injury stopped him but I see a midfield role in 13
Angus Monfries       C/F  $352,300  68-78         has to get more involved at Port
Robbie Gray           C/F  $276,100  67-81         One of the best at Port but... Still has to be considered at that price
Josh Kennedy          F    $272,300  53-79         Surely at least has to make you money
Chris Knights           F    $254,500  49-76         A new home but not really needed in that midfield, Can make money if he plays
Travis Varcoe         F/C  $234,400   9-65           Maybe a half back role?
Daniel Menzel          F    $232,100   --64          Could make a bit of cash
Cyril Rioli               F/C  $425,800  82-86          Would have to play more through the midfield
Arryn Siposs            F    $325,000  63-36          a half back role maybe

Backs
Bachar Houli           B    $407,200   79-84           Can get better but with only 6 backs?
Greg Broughton      B/F  $408,000  79-84            New team where does he play, b/f link
Mitch Golby             B    $379,700  73-53            Could play all year at hb, has to improve
Jack Watts             B/F  $360,600  70-72            b/f link, surely one day he will bang, 13?
Brodie Smith           B    $329,500  64-53            Will spend more time on wing and should greatly improve on 64
Cameron Pederson B/R  $296,100  57-71            ruck link but surely not?
Nathan Bock          B/F  $282,800  61-82            Can hit 80+ but is he priced to highly?
Jordan Russell         B   $264,300  57-71             New team but still might not see games
Andy Otten             B   $243,900  52-70             If he gets going could breakout

Rucks
Nic Naitanui           R/F  $442,800  86-75             More improvement expected but can he beat Maric etc..
Hamish McIntosh     R    $421,300  90-79             Now at a team known for high possessions but.. he gets injured :-\
Tom Bellchambers   R    $412,800  80-64             Young and improving but fittness?
Tod Goldstein          R    $407,300  79-99             Massive 011 and on most peoples lips, now the sole Ruck
Matthew Kreuzer     R     $403,700  78-66             Needs to step up to help the Blues success
Stefan Martin         R/F   $356,400  77-82             New team and the frwd link, still would need to do more
Zac Smith               R    $300,000  78-58              Young and will improve, well he pleases the Llamas anyway
Matthew Leuenberger R $233,600  56-92              That 92 ave from 011 has everyone talking
Nathan Vardy          R    $209,200  58-47              Almost cheap enough for bench cover/cash cow, where does he sit pecking wise?
Setana O'Halpin      R/F  $157,700  34-73              Surely not at WS for a holiday? Cash cow?

midfielders, this is the toughy but could a Ball be used as a cash cow? With now 8 starters and 30 trades do we take risks?
Luke Shuey             C   $488,100  94-83                Has to improve on 94, enough to keep?
Rory Sloane             C  $470,100  91-86                 Expect a big year, if they leave him alone should break 100
Nathan Fyfe            C   $458,500  89-98                 Could be "that guy" that goes boom
David Mundy           C   $451,800  87-96                 Can at least make some money for a quick upgrade
Andrew Gaff            C   $446,100  86-65                 Won't be to long before he breaks out
Daniel Rich              C   $439,000  85-80                 In an improving young team and a major midfield player
Harley Bennell          C  $438,200  85-67                 Who has the cahoonies this year?
Mitch Wallis             C   $427,600  83-55                 One day we will all want him
Daniel Hannebery     C   $421,800  82-79                Has to improve on 82
Matthew Broadbent  C   $413,100  80-63                 The next Ebert at Port?
Jack Ziebell              C   $406,400  79-78                Well I'm sure one day he will tear it up :-\
Ryan Bastinac           C   $405,800  78-65                 Has the ability to get 100, next year?
Tom Liberatore         C   $401,300  78-70                 Will want to prove himself, good quick cc?
Jack Trengove          C   $391,300  76-89                 Has the potential but is in a struggling midfield unit atm
Luke Ball                 C   $343,100  74-96                  I'm sure we are all annoyed, but still cheap enough for a good scoring cc
Andrew Embley        C   $264,300  57-94                  Looks now the good priced mid to make us money
Andrew Carrazzo      C   $467,400  90-92                  Will he become more of a ball winner under Mick
David Swallow          C   $380,400  73-76                 Third year now and should improve

Thoughts on anyone else worth adding? Caddy, Prestia? D Swallow? All good for making quick money

Holz

Having a look at Sylvia, Knights and varoce up front.

Broughton is in at this stage and considering bock but probably not.

Great list

Windigo

Would love to see Varcoe's role during pre-season.

As well as Jordan Russell's.

POK252

Also having a look at Shannon Brynes during the NAB. Averaged 85 and 79 back in 2009/2010.

Ricochet

rioli im certainly lloking at take away the vests and he did well.

tbagrocks

Surely Carrots isn't going to make any money? Why do you think he should be in the midfield?

12 - 90
11 - 92
10 - 81
09 - 85
08 - 94
07 - 100        Hasn't averaged 100 in 6 years?

Carrazzo
2012 ave: 90
2012 ave (unsubbed): 100
Averaged 100 this year as a tagger + Malthouse doesn't tag = 105-110 average?
he is the prime DT age. 110 might be pushing it, but even still he is atleast 10-15 points under priced

Yeh so am i holz. 90 average without the vests, plus a bit of natural improvement and that always promised more midfield time... he could go 95-100

For me the only two that are cheap enough(injury free) and will improve output and cash are Knights and Varcoe.
Will monitor closely during Nab cup.

Will be interesting to see how Broughton's departure will impact Duffield as well. I see a potential 95 average if Lyon plays him in position

Me too. Duffield could be a real good POD. Sylvia is locked for me, keeping an eye on Christensen,  Burger, Knights, Bock, Goldy and others.

                                                              Bump!

I also think if JJ (Jenkins) does get Tippo's spot, he could well ave 85-95, he could improve fairly well over the summer and he's a R/F so it makes it tempting, also was his first season

Trouble is he's 316k :-\ but had scores of 92, 75, 99, 76 from only eleven games, mostly as a third tall, if he gets the FF gig ;)

Toga

Fyfe is near locked for me ;)

Also considering a few others from the list, Broughton, Knights and Kennedy to name a few!
