With the new structure in 2013 there is, and will be, strong debate on what strategy to use.
The lack of discounts for a number of crucial links to achieve initial strong teams has caused a re-think.
We all want a good start to our year.To be in the top 1000 would be a great start.
So,share with us your thoughts on the best way to set up our teams to achieve this result.

Ziplock

I'm still going a mid priced strategy- I think that's what you need to start in top 1000.

Ziplock

that being said, some of those lack of discounts are jokes.

Balls I can see an argument for- still routed though.

Varcoe however should have gotten a 30% discount minimum.

you mean like premiums?

16 if everything goes right. My structures like this atm

D: P, P, P, P, P, M (R, R)
M: P, P, M, M, M, M, R, R (R, R)
R: M, M (R, R)
F: P, P, P, P, M, R (R, R)

Chelskiman

Usually go with guns and rooks, but so far in my team I have three mid-pricers.  I currently have 13/3/10/4.

Cheers mate  -mid price i gather 230k-500k

Windigo

I think you need an x factor like Tuck from last year.

Ziplock

yeah, basically for the mids that's about right, my most expensive midpricer is a bit over 400k.

in the backs and forward though, players priced in high 400k are technically premiums.

I've written up a set of rules on how i will be forming my starting team here - http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,70098.0.html

It's for SC but the rules still apply for how i will make my DT

Loading up with 5 gun backs

+1 Which 5 do you have?? I've got Goddard, Grimes, Gibbs, Hartlett & Broughton :)

POK252

I've only got 14 players I'd classify keepers in my side. These include high price premiums such as Goddard, Gibbs, Grimes, Swan, Ablett, Cox & SJ. How many upgrades are people looking to make throughout the season?? How many trades do u stack away for LTI's, finals time etc??

Gods, Gibbs, Grimes, Duffman, Heppell
