IMO, nothing all that wrong with it.

My personal preferences would be Heath Shaw instead of one of Birchall or Duffield.

Don't really know who Kane Mitchell is, if he is good, ignore me, but I reckon someone like Toumpas (although more expensive) is a better choice.

But yeah, a nice team structure, nothing too risky. A safe team IMO

My Chumps

Hey FS, nice looking team you've got here!
Defence: Goddard, Gibbs and Birch all no brainers. Duffield is an interesting POD, but I personally wouldn't touch him. Too inconsistent for mine, although that could change with Broughton permanently out of the team. I'd rather have Grimes and Broughton but up to you really. Rooks look alright, but not too sure about how much gametime Doch will get. Guessing rookies this far out of the season can be pretty pointless though; a lot depends on NAB and pre-season.

Mids:
Not bad here. Good prems, Mundy a solid POD. I'd probably try to get Oliver Wines in there though if you're going to start that many rookies. The kid is ready made for AFL and should be a pretty high scoring rook. Not sure about how Mitchell will cement his place in the premiers side, so maybe go Mitchell ---> Wines if you have the cash. Rest looks good.

Rucks:
Quality. Goldy and Leuy combo pretty standard, and I like it. McBean for DPP and Grundy might snag a couple of games.

Forwards:
Seriously strong forward line. Thomas is proving to be a POD and if you can stand having him on your team, he'll be excellent. Dusty should step up with the support from Choco, I like that pick. Rocky good, Franklin gun. Only concern is Nic Nat who's missing bulk pre-season, and might not even be right for round 1. With that much cash spent on an injured player, I'd look elsewhere. Rooks alright, not too sure about Cameron but you've got Lee which is the main thing. Also interesting to note that you've got none of the popular mid-pricers here; Gray, LeCras, Bock, Varcoe etc. You've clearly gone Guns-and-Rooks which is a pretty solid stratagie.

I like it mate.

Would love advice...

Backs:

- B/C Rookie player is a very good move
- Goddard, Gibbs, Birchall and Duffield all possible Top 6 averaging backmen. Duffield in particular interests me.
- I prefer to go with 4 premo's and a lower midpricer but if i were to go against that this would most likely be my backline structure
- For some reason i'm not a fan of Docherty, still feel he will struggle for games early
- Terlich is an ok pick but he will be fighting with Strauss, Nicholson and Garland few limited spots
- Haven't seen too many people with Birchall, so a nice unique

Rating 9/10

Midfield:

- No F/C or B/C link worries me
- Tom Mitchell will struggle for games
- Like Hrovat as a pick, if he gets games
- Mundy a very nice pick, i feel he could be in the top 8 averaging mids given that he averaged around 117 if you take out his injury affected 6 in 2011
- Cotchin, Ablett, Pendlebury, Mundy all capable of being top 8 averaging mids

Rating - 8.5/10

Rucks:

- Leuenberger is very cheap and can earn you a ton of cash
- Goldstein fairly cheap, and could probably end up in the top 2 rucks, although i see others ahead of him
- McBean, a good F/R link also probably wont play so offers you a chance of performing both loopholes
- Grundy a good possibility for games

Rating - 9.75/10

Forwards:

- I personally think Franklin is overpriced and there are better options, although a lot of people seem to be jumping of so could be a bit more unique
- See how Naitanui progresses after getting over his injury, should be fine though. I am predicting he will be in the top 6 forwards and top 2 rucks
- While Martin is a possibility to make you cash and breakout, i'm not a fan but he is a Under Valued Player so i won't talk you into or out of getting him
- Thomas, Rockliff, Naitanui and Franklin all big possibilities to be in the top 6 averaging forwards by years end
- Better options then Clay Cameron that in my opinion

Rating - 9/10

Final Rating - 36.25/40

Nice team, FS! It's actually a good mix, just a few players here and there that maybe could be ditched but that's out of personal preferece more than anything else. :P

DEF: I like most of your picks except for Duffield and Docherty. I don't really know where they stand. And also, I think I read somewhere that Docherty's now plain mid.

MID: Some great picks here. You've got some great premiums and some good rookies. Tom Mitchell's gonna have to work his way into the Swans team which could be tough, and you'll probably find a better option that Hrovat.

RUC: The starting two are good, so is Grundy, but McBean won't get games.

FWD: Probably the most iffy of all your lines. NicNat may have a delayed start so look out for that. Don't know how great Daisy will be either. Dustin Martin's a surprising pick given his year but if he does well, you're onto a winner. Also not too sure about either of your bench players. Might be better options.

Backs - Can't go wrong. I like the lack of Pittard just quietly but I'm not sold on Docherty's JS. Think there are better options around I feel. Really like the POD of Duffman, we share that one ;) Oh, and Nigey, Docherty is a plain back ;)

Mids - Top 3 is dominant. IMO they should be in pretty much every team come round 1. I like the pick of Mundy. Shouldn't be tagged with Hill, Fyfe, Pearce and Barlow to an extent attracting attentiong from opposition negatorss and he's finally getting a full pre-season going. I like it mate, although i have gone elsewhere for my uniqu mids its a lovely punt in my opinion. Good rookies at this stage but the NAB will tell us more of course.

Rucks - Yep, gotta have those two. personally, I would go Witts over Grundy but thats just me and I assume McBean is there for the captaincy loopholee and forward/ruck line? Like Nigey said I doubt he will be getting games with 3 rucks off the top of my head in front of him down at Tigerland.

Fwds - Hmmm. Don't like Buddy. people will always argue he is a must have but with the number of quality midfielders being forward eligibile I dont think he is so certain. I have picked up Robinson and Wellingham over Buddy. Daisy and Rocky are good but not a fan of Martin. Seems a bit of a loose cannon to me and I dont wanna touch him until he gets his head on straight. I have gone Wellingham/DeBoer over Dusty but that just my opinion (and WA bias haha). Again, rookies will need to wait until the NAB.

Not a shabby team man. Has a few calculated risks but something seems too... too safe about this fantasy team for my liking ;) Still a well put together unit :) 8/10.

Looks a solid team.
Back picks look great. Not sure about Mundy as mid4 with loaded fwd line. Personally I'd dump a fwd to get someone else in mid4(Watson, Kennedy, Selwood) but can't really fault your team...well done.

lewis

1 of the better teams I have seen strong across the lines....I personally only have reservations about Thomas and Martin. 8.5-9/10

Fish would like to see a little more flexibility in the Mids with DPP Links to take advantage of new rules.  You currently do not have a DPP Link.

If Nat is not up for round 1 consider replacing with Cox.
