yep. 3rd trade period is just to fix up dpp changes etc.

A synonym for just is only...

Therefore "3rd trade period is ONLY to fix up dpp changes"

Leaves an implication that trades are only available for DPP fixing/changing...

but now that it has been explained further, I'm on board and understanding. Not really stupidity by Whatlez/myself. Just stupid word use. Not my fault I have a high IQ ;) and expect others to be able to replicate understandable English.

Was moreso just to fix holes in your team as was meant to fix majority of them in the big trade period we had recently. We shouldn't be trading alot of players every time so I'm for the limited list movements just to fix any little things we may need (e.g. a Top defender, a Ruckman, Captain choice, etc).

Most teams shouldn't be decimated by DPP to the point where they need more trades. If they are, I say bad management :P.

I wouldn't say bad management. I lost 6 pure mids so yeah.

for instance, in my teams case, I Had the following changes

Veszpremi: F-->B
Roughead: R---> F/B
O'Hailpin: F---> F/R
Adams: F/C--> C
Bewick:C--> F
Haynes: C-->F
Goodes: F/C--> F

as you can see, the majority of those changes are to younger players, who haven't had a definitive role yet- for instance roughead spent last season being groomed as lakes replacement. This affected my team composition pretty heavily, but in my case was advantagous... I was lightest on my backs and gained 2. 

However, my ruckline really took a blow, losing trengoves dpp last year, and now rougheads, left me with a line of
Mcevoy (Stephenson, O'hAilpin). I would have been sweating bullets all year if Hickey hadn't been available to pick up.

Fact is, most players who lost dpp were players we expected, fyfe, sidey, beams, danger, lids etc.

l had 6 dpp changes after the draft last season and got no compensation (and still managed to win the premiership :P), so really dont understand why its such an issue this season

more importantly, what were your dpp changes? :P

for instance, imagine the scenario where my ruckline was

Mcevoy (Roughead, Trengove, Stephenson, OHailpin)

like, it's not amazing, but it's solid.

if after the draft though, I found out that trengove and roughead had both lost dpp

Did anyone tell him it's his turn? The front page is still saying we are up to pick 47, whereas his pick is at 53. Can't blame him for not knowing it's his pick if no one told him.

I sent one earlier dont know if he read it though, he should of checked anyway as hardly anyone sends a PM these days. I'll skip him in an hour or so if isnt back on, im going away tomoz and wanna get some picks in so cant blame me :P
