Completely agree Adam. We were looking at him with our final pick at 32, but decided we needed defensive cover instead. Massive steal!

Richard Douglas,

82 average without the subs will come in handy if he can average 85+

I only have Pearce on the bench than it goes to omeara i think douglas can outscore omeara.

I just got back from a holiday, and checked the last few picks. A bit of a delayed reply, but oh well lol. :P

Douglas - a 25 year old who averaged 82 without subs and close to 90 back in 2010 is a massive steal at pick #79. He could even be a chance for DPP down the track too. Nice.

Couldn't believe when I found him  wouldn't be surprised if he turns out a better pick than Pearce who cost me 6.

I just secured what I rate as a gun mid so probably don't need either anymore

hahah dont think that surprise will come Holz, Douglas will struggle to ave 80+ imo. He's no longer a midfielder we have plenty of younger better players ahead of him in there and his role played as a HF last year wont see him have much value in Euro's unless he gets DPP in future yrs. A 26 yr old mid (when season starts) who has never ave over 88, is always going to be a sub candidate for us and has had two lenghty injuries keeping him out for 7 & 6 weeks in past two seasons, in comparision to some of the younger guys taken around #79  dont really see why this pick would be singled out.......

Douglas will continue to rotate through the midfield ;)

If you don't want him, trade him to the Bears ;D

Douglas, spud. Won't make Adelaide team or will be sub. Nuff said, reasons why he slipped.

To replace kilkenny I'll take Aaron Cornelius

Are you sure you get a replacement ? Kilkenny is still technically officially on an AFL list...

Holz said I could

Still on a list but thought it only fair he could pick again.

he basically decided after like 3-4 months that he didnt want to play afl and quit.

Does this mean if someone like Guerra does his knee (touch wood it doesnt happen) and retires I get a replacement pick too ? Just wondering what the general grounds are for this compensation pick

PowerBug

If it's before the season starts (NAB included) then i guess so. :-\

if that did happen wouldn't it be better to wait until next years draft to take your compo pick? will prob get an earlier one with more/better players to choose from that's what i'd want to do anyway instead of trying to pick a player when the drafts are complete
