So the league competition is on hold for the next two rounds as we play the semi finals of the APL Cup :) For those not in the competition you get a chance to relax and put your feet up as you watch 4 teams battle it out for a place in the final :)

Semi Finals Leg 1
SF1: KKS United vs Blue Mountain State
SF2: Scaling Saints vs Goodfellas

Trade Cut Off Point
For players to be eligible for round 2 they must be traded in to your team before 11.59.59pm Thursday 20th December. Trades after this wont be eligible until the following round.

Team Submission
Your team sheet must be submitted in this thread no later than 11.59.59pm Friday 21st December. If your team is not submitted then your team from last week will be used. Team structure is identical to the official game and must be adhered to. This means:
•   The starting 11 must have ONLY 1 keeper named
•   The starting 11 must have AT LEAST 3 defenders named
•   The starting 11 must have AT LEAST 1 forward named
•   The bench must be named in order of your preferred replacements, starting with your reserve keeper, and followed by the remaining 3 players.

Good luck everyone :)

Previous Meetings

Semi Final 1
KKS United vs Blue Mountain State

Round 1 - KKS United 40 lost to Blue Mountain State 68
Round 8 - Blue Mountain State 39 lost to KKS United 49

So currently it stands at 1 win apiece for these clubs, with neither team getting a win at home. Looking at ladder positions it's 2nd (BMS) vs 7th (KKS) so you would expect BMS to progress, but as everyone knows anything could happen in the cup.

Semi Final 2
Scaling Saints vs Goodfellas

Round 4 - Goodfellas 55 defeated Scaling Saints 35
Round 11 - Scaling Saints 40 lost to Goodfellas 63

Goodfellas seem to have the wood over Scaling Saints defeating them in both previous encounters. With RVP and Aguero firing for Goodfellas you would expect them to win, but the Saints have recently acquired both Silva and Lampard back from injury so that could play in his favour...

Perfect, I'm away for the next month so will have limited access, seeing as monstrum has pretty much ditched us I'll see if someone else can take over for the two weeks in January :)

All the teams are now in! What are everyone's predictions for the matches? Who will make the cup final?

Score updates before the bonus points come in sees the games like this...

Semi Final 1
KKS United  - 44 (Ferdinand + Nani to play)

vs

Blue Mountain State - 26 (Hazard (C) + Ivanovic + Valencia + Michu to play)

Summary: Looks like KKS United are in the box seat holding an 18 point lead, but with BMS captain Hazard still to play there is still time for the game to change.

Semi Final 2
Scaling Saints - 46 (Routledge + Lampard + Benteke to play)

vs

Goodfellas - 38 (Evra + van Persie to play)

Summary: The Saints hold an 8 point lead and an extra player to come, but Goodfellas arguably have the better scorers to come, so still in for a close game.

My Chumps

The week we don't play I get:
Mignolet Clean sheet
Sagna CS
Simpson CS
Enrique CS + Assist
Sessegnon CS + Assist
Gerrard goal + 2 Assists + CS

Plus Rooney still to play...  :(

Jukes

This is BULLshower

Lost to Koop by a point because Agger scored and clean sheeted
Lost to cf by a point because Vertonghen scored and clean sheeted
About to lose to BS because Skrtel scored and clean sheeted.

*bleep*

Does that 38 include Cameron's 6 as sub on for Kompany?

Jukes

In fact,

KOMPANY AND AGUERO UP FOR TRANSFER.
