History: I played a little in 2011 but never finished due to lack of internet :-[
-In 2012 I got my puter within the week of the Sydney v GWS first game so had barely any info to dicect
-I started with Mackay Otten and made some trading howlers to,
Went Ablett to Ziebell ::) Otten to Hurn to finally Heppell, Chapman to Cornes to Pearce
-My final team was decent somehow and just lost the prelim after finishing 17, 500th
-Joined ff in April and haven't looked back

Firstly,
-Wright and Walker will be in my starting forward line
-I find it more fun to pick up and commers, Redden, Danger, Heppell etc rarther than pay high premiums

Mr.Craig

I would strongly advise against Mummy, he has never played a full season and that won't change in 2013. I think the rule changes might hurt him too. Also, I've spoken before about how I believe West is now clearly No.1 ruck at Geelong and with H-Mac on the scene I really can't see Vardy getting much of a look in. Pedersen, Daw, Currie...I like them all better.

There's probably no point in questioning your Crows picks. But I do.

Right now it looks like a 10k team, a few tweaks here and there could improve that greatly.

Just waiting on prices really! When that first game comes it's likely I'll have Maric/Sandi and Berger, the bench hopefully works it's self out by then

I'm confident of Wright and Walker going at 100 ave, also Dangerfield to improve and do a Cotchen next year.
110 will be the least I expect from Dangerman, now he knows how to dominate and get outside ball not just win every hard ball, the guy is a freak and with the 8 starters anyway I'll simply get on early at the cheapest price he will be all year and reap all the benifits, same as Tex and Matty
Matty Wright will be a full blown mid rotation next season and has probably already gone past Douglas. Again I expect similar to a Sidebum improvement from the talanted midfielder

Thanks for the feedback Mr Craig!

Mr.Craig

Walker won't average 100. Here's why I think that...

Steele Sidebottom average 104.7 in 2012, he did it by scoring 11 tons and outside of that he was very consistent with only two games under 70. Now Walker will need at least 11 tons and probably more likely 12 to get a 100 ave. That's twice as many 100's as he's scored in his entire career to date. Buddy, who averaged 101.2 had 8 20+ disposal games and 3.7 tackles per match while Tex had 1 20+ disposal game and averaged just 1.4 tackles.

Your man be a decent pick but I think he'll struggle to be top 6, at least in 2013.

Sure yeah I maybe pulling a long bow, I agree there, however... and I will do my full wright up on him in the new year

Players to contend with: Buddy, Rocky, Dusty, Thomas, Wright, Cox, Robbo, SJ, Pav, Bartel, Lewis, Zorko, Chappy, Cloke, no one elso will be higher, and I see only three maybe four being higher
- I have followed the great man every move since arriving from Broken Hill
- He is a proliffic goal scorer
- He is playing like a true CHF, more marks and possessions than a FF
- He struggles when returning, very much a confidence player
- Those silly suspensions were just an overkill from trying to make him more aggressive, he has now learnt, I've noticed it!
- He is still learning how good he actually is, he was still ducking his head in marking contests even though he was winning them
- He averaged almost 14.4 possessions, 6.7 marks. 3.3 Goals and 87 DT points, these numbers will certainly go up
- He just keeps getting better and better and better and better and better the more he playes
- He is a freak
- He is better than Cloke and Jroo who many seem to want recentely
- Forgot to mention he's one of the most talanted and natural footballers I've ever seen

In SC next year he will be phenomenal yes but still a DT lock for me ;D

Ziplock

big call on wright to go 100+... he's 179cm... if I was to just go off memory, the fwd that small to average 100+ recently is chapman, even then he's substantially heavier :P.

As for walker
1 Buddy
2 Rocky
3 Martin
4 Thomas
5 Wright
6 Cox
7 Ryder
8 SJ
9 Pav
10 Bartel
11 Lewis
12 Zorko
13 Chappy
14 Cloke

that puts him 15th which this year would be an 88 average.

But you've missed a couple.

Robinson
Nic Nat (even with his interupted pre-season)
Rioli (not super likely, but definitely up there)
Is Bennell still DPP?
Goodes
Sylvia (after he recovered from his broken spine (literally, not a metaphor for melbournes 2012 performance) he smashed it),
Higgins is plausible (although unlikely)
If you're rating walker then Hawkins has t be up there as well.
Leigh Adams

that's not even really including people primed to break out, clark, dahlhaus (probably too small), christensen, mayne, breust, howe, Tippett, darling, dawes, didak, gunston

obviously as Im progressing I'm pulling players less likely, but these blokes are all definitely a shot of averaging 90+

Reid, gumbleton, kennedy, knights, bock, gray, lecras, Varcoe

you get my point. Basically, betting on key forwards is hard- especially since it's a bit of a coin flip without tippett- also, remember walker got a couple of solid rests (when he did stupid shower) that would have kept him fresher than a lot of his opposition.

tbagrocks

Yeah with only six it's a massive risk, I still believe he only showed glimpses of the true Tex and he ave 3.3 goals 87 Dt and 100 SC so...

I really don't mind people dismissing him, I'm backing him to challange for the Coleman and dominate at CHF

T Dog

Some nice Pods there Bagsta.
A lot of spare cash for the rd1 rumble?
Hold the line on your man....its only one selection...lol... ;D

Any tips on how I can raise 150k to make Wines into Cotchen?

Maric to Mymmy?
Downgrade Varcoe/Rockliff?

I'm happy with the strong backline!

BC2010

Duffield to Ricky Henderson - Henderson in for a breakout season.
Maric to Bellchambers - Bellchambers is one of those 'up and comers' you like

Interesting yep, not sold on Hendo banging a consistant 85 though, and I just don't trust those Bombers fitness atm,

Well I may have changed to gambling on a Fyfe type, thinking Christensen and Fyfe for Rocky and Wines

Adamant

Definitely don't downgrade Rocky - He is the biggest lock of 2013.

I would go:

Varcoe to Tom Lee
Maric to Goldstein

Wines to Cotchin

No, but there's a poster called Jesus who knows how to turn Waters into Wines.
