Thanks Sid it was a choice between Yarran and Atley but i think Mick will really turn Yarran into a consistant player ie use him better then Ratts did

my plan with Ball is to eventually keep him as good bench cover

yeah i cant understand why Lewis is not more popular :o

no probs about Hibbo got 3 months lol
Haha well at least you have a plan for all of them. Yeah don't get what it is with Lewis...

I'll try and get the Hibberd profile up tomorrow. Going to run out of time tonight, still have a few of thse to do and need to update the directory.

Thanks mate! Buddy's price worries me as do the top rucks, originally had Nic but he might not be fit, maybe I'll bite the bullet and go Maric/Sauce, finished with Goldy/Cox this year and could start Goldy yeah, also I see Mummy improving after a solid back half this year. Thinking was get Sandi and in a good team he could score well early, and with 30 trades and most rucks being a risk anyway and Sandi's body having a rest from footy in 11/12, he could be fresh and worth the punt. Vardy based on not sure who elso could be counted on to play and rise in price

Yeah Dangerman is high price and a risk, but that was his first full year in the guts and he is learning to get more outside ball and to run and carry. I see him even improving on his numbers from this year I think was 27 disposals a game, also I might try and sneek the Sloaneburger ;D, maybe morabito,

Backs could be changed but I was going for some high output early, there are a few cheep but injury riddled players and getting it right will be huge, will probably consider Duffman, Broughton, Hartlett, Birch, Waters etc when time comes, but I do like Hep probably more in DT terms. Brown I see replacing Doughty so should see games and he's quite polished. Hurn and Sucks are off my list!

Cheers bud ;)

Hey AFEV, top bloke for doing this!
Love the detail :)

Here's my first try...
Cassarole Kids Fanplanner squad in the Super Coach competition coached by MyChumps. Salary cap left: $28,700.

Brendon Goddard, Bryce Gibbs, Jack Grimes, Greg Broughton, Brent Staker, Tom Clurey
Jasper Pittard, Sam Docherty
Can't really poke a hole in this backline. If I was going to be picky I would say that there are some alternatives to Docherty that will probably serve you a bit better. Terlich, Osborne, Goodes and Thurlow would all be good options. Another option (my personal favourite) would be to bench one of Staker/Clurey and then Pedersen in as D5. Pedersen has a fairly solid scoring history and with added JS at Melbourne and a juicy 190k price tag could prove an extremely valuable pick. Also just got D/R MPP confirmed, althogh with nobody to complete the link it really doesn't add that much flexibility.
I really like that Broughton selection, I think he'll slot into a fantasy friendly role at GC and should bloom into one of the best SC defenders for 2013. 9.3/10

Gary Ablett jnr, Scott Pendlebury, Josh P. Kennedy, Joel Selwood, Trent Cotchin, Nathan Fyfe, Oliver Wines, Brad Crouch
Jaeger O'Meara, Jack Viney
Must. Not. Comment. On. Jbomb. Ok....SHOWER this is an expensive midfield! Talk about loading up. At least you've done it cleverly though. GAJ and Pendles are of course super prems and justified selections in any team so good stuff there. JPK is a step below those guys (for now) but is pretty much the same situation. Bunnings however seems to have slipped under the radar. I was thinking that with the extra mid spots he'd go from prem POD to a popular choice but most people still seem to be omitting him. He is Mr. Reliable and you know what you'll get from him every year. I have picked him 3 years running and I haven't a complaint and will likely take a close look at him again for 2013. It's players like this that can take you so far in leagues and help make sure you don't get left behind in overall. Fyfe worries me a bit with the shoulders and the clangers but if he can keep his body right he should serve you well. The other mids in your midfield are fairly durable so I would say this one is more of a call for you to make than myself. If his body does fall apart you can cover him anyway and with 30 trades it's not going to have a massive impact on you so I'd say it's a pretty good bet. Crouch, Viney and Wines - Tick, tick, tick. 8.7/10
Nic Naitanui, Matthew Leuenberger
Jarrod Witts, Brodie Grundy
Feels like a weak spot. Naitanui could burn you or give you a push up the rankings. Most people have seemed to have jumped off following the news of his surgery and of course the sheep will follow so going against the herd on this one is a seriously ballsy move. Could potentially cost you 200k and a couple of hundred points if it doesn't come off and I must say I'm wondering if you'd be better off taking a punt on a cheaper ruck like Bellchambers or Goldstein. Witts and Grundy together is something that I haven't seen much but makes a lot of sense. Jolly is aging and his body will keep breaking down and these are the guys that will come in to cover that. Guarantees a few games cover but beyond that I am not sure they will play enough to make you serious dough. Would make a LOT more sense if Jolly was still fantasy viable and you could use them to cover any injuries he may have. I'd personally let go of NicNat. It is too much money to be betting on a guy that almost nobody will be carrying. The rookies I'd rethink as well but no serious action really needs to be taken until NAB. 6.5/10
Lance Franklin, Tom Rockliff, Allen Christensen, Nathan Bock, Mark LeCras, Tom Lee
Brent Macaffer, Marco Paparone
This looks fairly solid but I have a few concerns. Rockliff, Bock, Paparone. Rockliff isn't really a big one and it's more of a nitpick than it is anything else. I just think he'll be spending too much time up forward to be an A grade fantasy option in 2013. I understand that other people disagree and it is more my opinion than it is something that is /wrong/ with the team so no real need to change it but I still feel the need to mention it. Bock will have a limited pre-season and I don't think he is even locked in for round 1 at this point so I would be planning my team without him as to not then have him inadvertently become an integral part of your forward structure. Paparone I think will have limited opportunities at Brisbane this year as I believe there is quite a bit of competition for 2nd/3rd talls at Brisbane. He has the endurance to play a Darling style roaming forward but there will still be a few people pushing him for a spot so I'd definitely be subbing him out for a Dwyer, Daniher or Kennedy. 7.3/10

Summary: The team looks really good. I feel some strength up forward was sacrificed for that crazy midfield and backline but overall the team is looking very strong and you've managed to fit (if my predictions are correct) 15 (:o) premiums into one team...Problem being I'm fairly certain this team won't fit under the cap when SC opens. I will deduct .5 from your final rating because of this.
Really good team considering (I think) this is your first draft.

Rating: 7.5/10
You are a champ AFEV! :D
Thanks for that.

Think I may go Nic Nat ---> Goldy now that you mention it. Goldy underpriced now that he's the sole ruckman. Hopefully that will free up enough room for my team to slip under the salary cap in the actual game. And if not I can always downgrade Bock to a rook.
I'm betting Fyfe can up his average to 115 this season. With 8 starting mids and at that price I couldn't say no.
I'll stick with Rocky. Even if he does play forward he can still average 90 in an improving Brisbane team. And his upside if he plays in the middle *drools. Have been wanting to slot Dusty in so I may swap the two if I have second thoughts though.
Midfield may have been influenced by my Worlds team... Cotch, Selwood and JPK :P   But still, JPK my favourite player and shouldn't be too popular amongst other options creating a handy POD early in the season. Cotch is only going to improve and who doesn't love him? And Selwood is one of my favourites too, plus I love the reliability. Was it 15 centuries in a row last year?
Don't know too much about Rooks so was stabbing in the dark with a few of them.

Hey sid - Thought I would post my team as it stands pending price announcements for comment.

Would have had Naitanui instead of Cox but concerned with groin surgery and no pre season.

Is bye friendly as well with an 11/8/11 split.

TEAM NAME: Ringos Stars
DEF: B. Goddard, B. Gibbs, H. Hartlett, M. Golby, S. Atley, C. Pedersen (K. Jaksch, D. Terlich)
Backline looks about as solid as any I have seen so far. Four big risks on the same line is really ballsy though, I'd be careful about taking so many high risk players. Hartlett I'm not as keen on as others, I just don't have faith in his body. Of course if he can stay fit there's a good chance he'll be one of the top 5 defenders for 2013. Golby and Atley are interesting selections. Golby is a player I have been paying close attention to this off-season, you probably know more about him than I do but what I have seen of him has been extremely impressive and with a decent pre-season is primed to step up again next year. Atley I'm not as sure about and is probably the first player I'd drop from this backline. He is an extremely effective player on the ground and while being an 80m player is valuable for SC he averages well under 20 touches a game and with no real reason for him to increase that output I can't see a way for him to lift his average by another 20 points to make the selection worthwhile.
Jaksch isn't the greatest bench option either in my opinion. Much prefer Osborne, Goodes, Clurey and even Pittard. 7.3/10

MID: S. Pendlebury, J. Kennedy, T. Cotchin, D. Mundy, L. Ball, O. Wines, N. Vlastuin, T. Menzel (J. O'Meara, J. Viney)
Premiums look standard here but not sure on the rookie selections. Mundy I like, got a lot of attention after people put him under the microscope and realised how underpriced he was but seems to have fallen off the radar a bit again so could end up becoming a POD.
Vlastuin and Menzel will probably burn you, I can't see either lining up for round 1 and if they do not sure they will be the best scorers either. They do offer a valuable MPP link but playing 2 rookies in the same position who will get limited opportunities just for MPP will end badly.
One could probably stay and be benched for one of O'Meara/Viney and I would suggest Mitchell or Crouch to replace the other. 8.2/10

RUC: S. Jacobs, M. Leuenberger (S. Rowe, M. Gawn)
I am surprised that Jacobs hasn't been more popular, especially since so many people jumped off the Nic-Nat train. Could end up proving a valuable POD. Rowe and Gawn are kind of shaky but at this point there aren't many options that are that much better. Witts, Grundy and Daniher all became far less appealing or got taken off the table entirely and we haven't really got an obvious replacement at this point. 8.0/10
FWD: L. Franklin, D. Cox, T. Rockliff, D. Martin, R. Atkins, T. Varcoe (B. Macaffer, B. Staker)
One of the better forward lines I have seen thus far, the only change I would make would be to bench Atkins and bring one of Staker/Macaffer onto the ground. Franklin and Cox I think should be locks in every forward line, Rockliff and Martin provide some value and Varcoe is finally looking like fulfilling his fantasy potential. Not really much to pick at for this forward line...Losing Franklin, Rockliff and Martin in the same round could hurt though. 9.2/10
CASH LEFT: $282,700

Summary: First time I have seen anyone bother to structure around byes so far this off-season. The clump of Rd 11 premiums in the forward line is a worry and I feel like there is just too much that could go wrong in that backline. The mid rookies could use a reshuffle as well but I suppose at this point we haven't got a great idea of how much certain kids are going to play.

Overall it's a really good team, I did add a slight upscale around the ground due to the bye structuring. Hopefully it fits under the cap, guess we'll find out when Assistant opens...

Rating: 8.1/10

Ringo

Thanks Sid - Waiting for prices to come out before finalising.  Backs were the hardest to sort out because of bye structures.  Bock and or Broughton may come into consideration.
Vlaustin and Menzell were picked for the DPP still tossing up whether it is beneficial or not with the extra rule changes.  Team was picked before announcements.
Staker will be on the ground in forwards - Did not bother changing the order it came out of FP.
