The Premiership or the Overall Score

Surely if your team is the highest in the overall ranking then you should be able to take out the premiership as well.

Any way Ranking stops before finals doesnt it?? so its like 2 different comps.

Fair point tabs finishing on top is considered winning the minor premiership isn't it?

yep i know,but same thing really,unless your winning the overall comp it doesnt matter at all,if ive got 2000 points more than the 2nd guy but dont win the league & im not in the frame for overall then im a total tosser if i find anything celebratory about that,choose overall or choose leagues,if you choose leagues then your in it to win the league whether you sneak into the 8 by winning your last 2 games & needing another team to lose his last 2 games as i did in 1 dt league before winning the flag,or whether your #1 all season.But if your aim is to finish top points scorer & premiership is of secondry importance -TOSSER

I disagree a little, the Premiership is a game within a game, the main game being to win the whole comp or rank aswell as possible, secondary is win the Grandfinal i any given league. Its all personal preference, because i feel this way doesnt make me any more right than a coach who chooses to win Grandfinals it's just my preference and if that makes me a Tosser in some eyes well i guess i have to live with that.  :P

I agree with you Grazz.I would like to think that aiming for highest ranking with carefull trading would put you in a strong position to win a league or two aswell.

Yeh it does mate, i still made my share of GF's sadly LF belted me in them but i got there. :'(

Premiership.. You don't brag about being the highest points scorer in your league... Unless you won the flag!

I'd go with winning the premiership. Only because my mates and I all have money riding on it.
However the last couple of years I have finished lower down in my league but come first or second on total points. Have had horrid luck.
