Should've done this one before browncows, missed it :P

Backs: Standard structure and players. Nothing to fault. 8/10
Mids: Strong, again I'm liking Mundy, in addition to the forward DPP link. 8.5/10
Rucks: Like the choice of Zac Smith, a unique who I've looked at before and imo could go for an 80-85 average this season and early to mid 90s at the top of his natural career arc. 7.75/10
Forwards: Strong, loving the experience on there across the board. 8.5/10

Overall: 8.2/10 a side well-balanced across the lines.

Mids: Strong. Imo there are better options than Kommer though, imo he will struggle to play games and break into the Bombers midfield. 8.5/10
Rucks: Standard. 8/10
Forwards: Strong, I'd defs rate Stevie J and Daisy over Buddy and Cox though, both are cheaper yet imo will score higher. 8.25/10

Overall: 8.2/10

cash left: $3,800. If prices change then I will downgrade accordingly.

Backs: Liking the mid-priced options, reckon Pearce will be a top pick for SC but not so much DT, but we'll see. Could replace Broughton and average mid-80s, we'll see. 8.25/10
Mids: Strong, loving the Stantonator selection. Like the unique rookie selection of Hunter, I'm considering him. 9.25/10
Rucks: Standard, can't get better than Goldy and Leuey for 2013. Normal rookies. 8/10
Forwards: Strong, liking the de Boer POD, I reckon he'll score very well as a Mid/Fwd DPP in the low-to-mid 90s, I would go for him but I prefer to select Cloke, Walker and Wright for 2013, I can see them averaging a bit more and I personally like the three over de Boer (met Cloke a few times, Tex has a mullet like me, like Wright's style of play). Anyway, your definitely missing out on Rocky. He's priced at 93 but will average like 105-110, which makes him a must have imo. Perhaps downgrade one of Swan or Ablett to like Mundy/Fyfe then go JJK to Rocky? 9/10

Overall: 8.5/10 good side with a few good PODs

Hey guys. Long time reader, first time poster here.

This will be my 3rd year of dream team. Had a great first season in 2011 and finished 517th overall. Got cocky last season and dropped to a pathetic overall ranking in the early 20,000's.

This is my first attempt at a team for 2013.
Would love some feedback.

DEF - Goddard(MID), Gibbs(MID), Hartlett(MID), Broughton(FWD), Atley, Docherty (Colquhoun(MID), Terlich)

MID - Ablett, Pendlebury, Fyfe, Mundy, Christensen (FWD), Embley, Crouch, Morabito (Viney, O'Meara)

RUCK - Leuenberger, O'hAilpin (FWD) (Grundy,Sinclair (FWD)

FWD - Cox (RUCK), Stevie (MID), Rockliff(MID), Robinson(MID), Sylvia(MID), J.Kennedy (Staker(DEF), Macaffer)

Backs: Atley I'm questioning, but we'll have to wait and see. Good structure and safe and solid choice of players other than Atley. 8/10
Mids: Strong, good going with the DPP seeing as you have 4 links up forward, although imo you should include Goodes over Morabito to have the B/C link too. Liking Fyfe and Mundy, great POD midfield with Christo in there too. 9/10
Rucks: To contradict mdub, I reckon at this stage Setanta is a solid selection. Sheeds has earmarked him to replace Izzy's role as a deep forward who rucks inside the 50, and seeing as Setanta is 10000000 times the better player than Izzy I can see him averaged ~70, which will be a good stepping stone to a premium if he can play and perform early. 7.5/10
Forwards: Again very strong, great strategy to play 6 forward premos/mid-pricers seeing as there is such a piss poor market for forward rooks at this stage. 9.25/10

Overall: 8.4/10 good side with good PODs

Cheers for the feedback Jukes.
Obviously will keep a very close eye on Setanta over the pre-season. If he looks like getting a regular game, then I will go with him. I always have the option of swinging Cox into the rucks from the fwd line and playing one of my fwd rookies.
Atley, I will keep a close eye on too. At the moment I have been chopping and changing between Atley and Bock in the DEF 5th position. If neither impresses me over the pre-season, I may be tempted to fill that position with a performing rookie and use the extra $150-200,000 to upgrade in other areas.
I got burned by Christensen last season, picking him up after a stringing together a couple of games around the 100 mark. Fromt that point on he was a walking injury disaster. I have high hopes for him if he can stay on the park next season.
Point taken on the MID/DEF link and Morabito. At the moment I have swung Colquhoun into the mids for Morabito and will add either Goodes or Vlastuin into the backs for some added DPP.

Backs: Standard. Nothing to set it apart from other teams but solid selections. 8.25/10
Mids: Relatively strong, liking the POD in Gaff and, to an extent, Ball. Reckon both could go low 90s. The Swan, Ablett, Cotchin front will always make it strong, even though it absorbs a lot of your salary cap which is why I prefer Cotchin, Pendles, Stants front (and because I'm indie as flower). 9/10
Rucks: Sandi I'm at ends about. On one hand he could smash it for a high 90s average and with Pav lead them to a top 4 position. On the other hand he could get another of his various injuries like turf toe and only play 8 games. Given the amount of trades we're being allowed, I think taking Sandi is a well calculated risk, seeing as we'll be able to cover injuries much easier. 8/10
Fowards: Standard structure. I rate Daisy over Buddy as last season Buddy only averaged 96 if you take out his main outliers in his 204 and his sub-affected 72, making him overpriced. Imo, with the improvement of Gunston and Roughead as key-position forwards, Buddy will kick less goals, meaning his average should go to about 96-98, while Daisy I can see averaging about 103. Just my opinion. 8/10

Overall: A solid side which is well balanced across the positions. 8.3/10

Cheers Jukes,

Pretty much agree with everything you say. Sandilands is a risk but with 30 trades it's one I'm willing to take. I also reckon Buddy will perform better than expected as he'll hopefully come out all guns blazing after his injury and off field antics last year! Thanks for the review.

Backs: Standard structure. Same players as everybody else has basically- not a bad thing as gives you comfortability and they are good picks with minimal faults, but little chance of gaining a point of difference, like I have with Lake. 8.25/10
Mids: Very strong line, similar to mine with 3 top-end premiums who will go 110+ (Pendles, Cotchin, Stants) then Redden and Murphy who are underpriced but should also go 110+. Obviously the difference between you and mine is Cotchin and Stants vs Swan and Ablett, which will only cost me like 20 points per week, while I'm saving like 180k. Depends whether you want your midfield top set from the start or to build on it, and we've gone opposite ways, both strategies being good. 9.5/10
Rucks: Two good mid-pricers here who will look to gain $$$ fast. Both could score premo-like (Leuey 92, Pedo 80) and will be either a good stepping stone to a full premium or a potential keeper. 7.5/10 (it's low as it's very risky with JS and reinjury issues, going with mid-pricers is never safe)
Forwards: Even though it's can be perceived as weak (only 2 established premiums(, it's still a good line. All players except for McDonough have prior afl experience, and from those only Macaffer has played under 50 games. Sylvia is another good risk, I'd probably have him if it wasn't for Clokey. 8/10

Overall: 8.4/10

Yeah reckon every team should have a fair few risky players for 2013. My forward line has Walker, Wright and Cloke alone! All priced at 85, 85 and 75 averages but imo all should go 90+ and hopefully 95+.

Backs: Exactly the same as mine from player 1 to 8 :P. I reckon although this is a weak structure as it'll only get us like 450-500 points per week, but there is just too many backline rookies which good JS and scoring ability to pass up being cheap down back and stocking your mids/rucks. Even though I'm bias, great selection of rookies and premiums. 7.5/10
Mids: Very strong, one of the best midfields I've seen. Could almost expect half your teams points to come from here. I reckon Embley is a better selection than Ball as he's 80k cheaper but will only average at most 5 points less than Ball. 10/10
Rucks: Standard starting pair, in addition to normal bench rooks. 8/10
Forwards: Strong, I'm unsure on Cox and Bartel however. They're old and I can see both dropping in average to around the 95 mark as they are overtaken by their younger counterparts and require more resting. I'd much prefer to go the way of say Mitch Robbo and Daisy. Unless you're in love with their DPP component I'd strongly consider dropping at least one. 8.25/10

Overall: 8.6/10
