Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Birchall, Broughton, Pederson C, Vlastuin. Pittard/Docherty.
Mids: Swan, Ablett, Watson, Cotchin, Ball, Toumpas, Wines, O'meara. Viney/Colquoun
Rucks: Maric, Leunberger. Rowe/Daw
Forwards: Rockcliff, Ryder, Le Cras, R Gray, Menzel T, Staker. Kerridge/Lee

Cash Left: $129,300

Not sure on the ruck rookies yet. Thoughts?

Backs: Standard structure, good selection of premiums. 8/10
Mids: Pretty strong, not much moar to say. Like the b/c dpp link. 9/10
Rucks: Strong. 8.25/10
Forwards: Very risky seeing as 4 of your players missed all last season through injury. LeCras doesn't have much at all to gain (under 100k) so I reckon go up to Sylvia or Cloke, or higher. 7/10

Overall: 8.15/10
Well I got rid of Le Cras and Gray now the forwards read Rockcliff, Ryder, Martin , Howe, Menzel T , Staker Kerridge/Lee

Cheers Jukes :D

Backs: Relatively strong yet standard, loving the selection of my man Lakey. 8.5/10
Mids: Strong, idk where all this love for Vince is coming from haha. 9/10
Rucks: Standard. 8/10
Forwards: Ok, be wary of the injury prone players though. 8/10

Overall: 8.25/10
Do you have any ideas of who i should get instead of Vincey? Or do you think i should make him a rookie and upgrade my backs or forwards? or maybe upgrade Barlow?

I'm not saying don't go with Vince, just out of the blue several sides have him in.

I like the inclusion of Howe, he could average very well as a POD.

Salary cap left: $4,600.

Brendon Goddard, Danny Stanley, Bryce Gibbs, Dyson Heppell, Jared Brennan, Jasper Pittard
Sam Docherty, Dean Terlich

Gary Ablett jnr, Scott Pendlebury, Brent Stanton, Marc Murphy, Luke Ball, Andrew Embley, Michael Evans, Anthony Morabito
Jaeger O'Meara, Jack Viney

Todd Goldstein, Matthew Leuenberger
Jarrod Witts, Liam McBean

Dean Cox, Steve Johnson, Tom Rockliff, Josh J. Kennedy, Travis Varcoe, Brent Staker
Josh Simpson, Brad Dick

Backs: Strong. Like the POD of Brennan in there- I prefer Lake but w/e. 8.25/10
Mids: Also strong, with 8 players with AFL experience then two of the best rooks you can get in 2013. Stants <3 <3 <3. 10/10 (and that isn't just for Stants- quality midfield)
Rucks: Again the best ruck combo for 2013 (at this stage at least). 8/10
Forwards: Unsure on Cox, he's old and frail, not worth it for DPP if he drops 5-10 average points which is a distinct possibility. Also unsure on the JS of your bench rooks; although the market for forward rooks and rookie-priced players this season is weak. Would prefer Tom Lee. 7/10

Overall: 8.5/10 a very strong line-up, especially dat midfield.

Thanks heaps for the feedback! Brennan is a smokey for sure and needs to show me something pre-season for me not to pick him (and Broughton is priced just below him as well and is training well thus far...). My midfield is where I'm focused this year, got to be important as ever with 8 picks. Can't have rookies scoring 50s, so it means some mid-priced picks are needed and yes Morabito and Evans and lock over actual rookies if they're named round 1. I'm considering Travis Cloke and Knights in my forward line but obviously cash is an issue for me now and yes forward line rookies are very hard to pick once again. Cox ain't frail, he's a legend and won't bow out of the game declining. Nic Nat's interrupted pre-season only means more game-time for Cox early. His dual-position means cover and bailout for my starting 2 ruckmen, who both have recent injury history (unlike Cox). He's a strategic pick as much as he's the 2nd best scoring forward based on last years averages.

To finish off, I love your avatar :P

Hey guys. Long time reader, first time poster here.

This will be my 3rd year of dream team. Had a great first season in 2011 and finished 517th overall. Got cocky last season and dropped to a pathetic overall ranking in the early 20,000's.

This is my first attempt at a team for 2013.
Would love some feedback.

I like your backs it has a good mix of unique players and lock premos, some say atley is the next player to have a boom year like patty danger, I think you should drop morabito and move COLQUHOUN to mids to get the dpp option with your other 3 mids in the backs. GOODES a good option to fill in the spot in defence.

Mids are very different with the larger cap and more positions in the mids now my advice would be to pack your mids at least 3 premos a unique player, and a mid pricer and rooks Christensen is an interesting one, it's so hard ATM to know how he will play and how much he will play. Defently could be a awesome player I liked him last year but luckily went with dangerfield, but leave him ther see how Scott uses him in the ways of how much mid field time he gets, because as you problem know Geelong lover to rotate ther young guns. Morabito is popular being rookie price but I just can't see him even playing rd1 with the freo mid group now. The only spot I could see him replace is broughtons lock down roll, I can see that if morabito is fit Lyon will give him this roll to bring back some formation to his footy( just like hardwick did to conca)

No way with ohalpin mate no we're near gws best 22! I'd go with pedo

Good fwds and Silvia could be solid if he can get back into his best dt form

Backs: Strong. 8.75/10
Mids: I don't like Bennell, imo at a similar price range you can get players like Daisy Thomas with DPP, meaning you can shuffle Mayes or Menzel to a midfield rookie like Crouch or Mitchell who will score more and cost less. Rest is good, 8/10.
Rucks: Standard. 8/10
Forwards? Strong. 8.5/10

Overall: A well-balanced side in all areas, lacking a good POD or two. 8.25/10

Backs: Atley I'm questioning, but we'll have to wait and see. Good structure and safe and solid choice of players other than Atley. 8/10
Mids: Strong, good going with the DPP seeing as you have 4 links up forward, although imo you should include Goodes over Morabito to have the B/C link too. Liking Fyfe and Mundy, great POD midfield with Christo in there too. 9/10
Rucks: To contradict mdub, I reckon at this stage Setanta is a solid selection. Sheeds has earmarked him to replace Izzy's role as a deep forward who rucks inside the 50, and seeing as Setanta is 10000000 times the better player than Izzy I can see him averaged ~70, which will be a good stepping stone to a premium if he can play and perform early. 7.5/10
Forwards: Again very strong, great strategy to play 6 forward premos/mid-pricers seeing as there is such a piss poor market for forward rooks at this stage. 9.25/10

Overall: 8.4/10 good side with good PODs
