Thanks Stew! My first go at the new format, and I still find it more run to pick the improvers rather than paying the high price for a Swan

Backs: God, Gibbs Grimes. The three G's seem to be the best move for the DT backline. I probably wouldn't go Lake unless he proves himself at the Hawks, maybe for 1st back upgrade. He just doesn't seem to be in top 6 contention, and he's not that underpriced. Staker, Goodes, Terlich, and Colquhoon seem to be good rooks at this stage. This is a reasonably solid line, but could do with one more premo in there. 7/10

Mids: bit more cash spent here, I see! GAJ, Pendles and Cotch are three good options for your captain every week. Kennedy may be a clearance god, but unfortunately that doesn't equate to DT Brilliance. Kennedy gets most of his stats from handballs in congestion. If you're looking for a Swan for your midfield, I'd firstly suggest Dane Swan   ;D but then probably O'Keefe (was scoring 140s and 150s in finals), Kizza Jack, or Hannebury. But seriously. Dane :). Stevie J might be a DPP link, but all I see him doing is taking up a spot for a real big scorer. Fyfe or Mundy could be alternatives. I'd also have to suggest Embley over Ball due to price. Matt Jones... He's that Demons rookie, right? I'd probably go Crouch over him. 7.5/10

Rucks: stock standard first two, really. It's probably a semi-reasonable assumption that one of Witts or Grundy will play every week. I wonder whether Bucks will test playing all three rucks in the Nab... 8.5/10

Fwds: like your backs, a little weak structurally. Buddy, Rocky and robbo are good picks, but then it declines. I'd wait to see how Bock's leg shapes up before selecting him. The Irishman I would have as R3/4, but not in my fwds. Voss doesn't exactly have the best record with rookies, other than freaks like Zorko. But Danoher and Lee seem good choices. But really just look for any fwd rook named rnd 1... Ultimately one less premo than there should be. 7/10

Overall: you've stacked your mids at the expense of your backs and fwds. I'd be doing it the other way around, all the rooks seem to be in the mids this year. But structure aside, your picks seem to be solid. Good luck! 7.5/10

Ok, last one for the night.
Backs: as stated above, three G's, tick. Birch, tick, but watch to see if he's tagged more, like Heater. Pittard is good, he'll be more unique, but his JS and scoring ability weren't changed by VS :) haven't heard much about Osbourne, but if you're right about him, then I guess we'll hear a lot more :) very solid, would be ranked higher if it weren't for my ignorance :) 8.5/10

Mids: I love this midfield. Swan, Cotch, Pendles, excellent captain options every week. Greene should lift his average (I wrote an article on the "third year breakout" myth, noting that second years were just as good, if not better, in most cases). If Fyfe lifts to say 105, he'll be such a huge success story, particularly given his early brownlow talk. Excellent rooks. I'd give it 10 if you had Ablett in there :p 9.5/10

Rucks: finally, someone different! Huzzah! You've certainly got huevos going for Belly, but if it works... Now, look, I'd love to give this 9, but there is a bit of risk involved here... Is it too much? 8/10

Fwds: In a word: incredible. You only have one player who hasn't played a senior match, and he's been killing the WAFL. I particularly like the pick of Lewis, so consistent! If you ever manage to find some cash, getting Thomas in there would be good. Although I do like the pick of Cloke, he can't be any worse than 2012, right? 9.5/10

Overall: I love this team. If I were introducing someone to DT for the first time, I'd show them this as a key example of a good team. Your premos are solid with little risk, your underpriced players should improve, and your rookie decisions weren't made rashly. However, it seems that Bellchambers is the difference between you going top 100, and top 1000. Normally I do an average for the overall score, but I'm just giving you a straight 9.5/10
(If you're curious, the average mark is 8.875/10)

kilbluff1985

cool thanks mate all my practice teams seem to get good ratings lol

only reason Thomas is not in is because of his ankle surgery but if he looks right come round 1 will be in

yeah starting Bellchambers is like playing chicken and think i'm going to pull out of that one bit to risky

the lack of love for Lewis is amazing have not seen him in any other team

really rate Greene came 1st in one of the clubs time trials this pre season which is a big effort considering all there 1st round picks
