QuoteCHANNEL 9's 33-year stranglehold on Australian cricket's broadcast rights is under siege, with Channel 10 preparing to throw everything at a prized new deal.

Oh god, if they have Gretel Killeen commentating... if they have anyone other than the Channel 9 commentary team...  :'(

Who would even commentate on 10? There's like nobody...They're all footy people.

Who cares? The only way to watch cricket is with the TV on mute and ABC on the radio

I hope against everything that Channel 9 keep ALL international cricket. From the way they are talking about it, it looks like Foxtell is going to steal some limited over internationals. I think there are laws in place to prevent them from showing test matches, but we all have the right to watch our national team in every game they play.

And if channel 10 get the cricket, who is going to commentate? And there is some mention of Channel 7 getting the cricket. That would mean Brian Taylor going "WOWWWWWEEEEEE WHAT A SIX!" every time someone hit the ball. If that happens then god save us all and I will be saying goodbye to cricket......

Commentary is only going to get worse at Channel 9 anyway. Tony Greig as I'm sure we all know is battling serious health issues at the moment, and may not be able to commentate again. Bill Lawry is also retiring from the commentary booth after this summer for good and good old Richie is commentating less and less. Its sad to see all these old commentators going, who did good for the game and they are being replaced by crap people.

Tony, Bill and Richie are my favourites. Don't mind Slats and Heals, just don't get me started on Tubby... :-X  ::)

The only time I've liked Tubby is when he did Peter Siddle's hattrick. Was so funny seeing him go off his head.
