The crowd is chanting every time Hussey gets involved and the abc commentaitory are playing it up, now calling him the Husslehoff ::)

does anyone think Hussey will open? pretty sure he opened for WA for years, and if we don't have much of a total to chase it might be his only opportunity for a last bat and to hit the winning runs in his last test!

As much as I would love him to, for some reason I just don't see it happening. Clarkey doesn't seem like the type of captain that would give that to him. Then again, I hope I am wrong as Clarke himself was the man to end Hussey's first innings. It would be great to see him out there one more time.

Is Michael Hussey the most popular player since Bradman?

You don't get the title of 'Mr. Cricket' for nothing.

He didn't get the Mr.Cricket name from popularity, it started from Flintoff in a county game and no one wanted to be there because it was drizzly and miserable but Hussey was loving it, Flintoff said this guy loves cricket more then anyone I know, I think it was Hodge who then told Andrew Symonds and he told everyone else.

Yeah I know it wasn't from the popularity that the name came, but it sort of shows why he is so popular. He lives, breathes and loves the game more than any other person. He gives it his absolute all every single time he goes out there and always represents Australia with pride, and at the same time is very humble about it all. Mr. Cricket, a legend of the game and will be sorely missed by Australia over this next year.

Just home from the cricket, great day.

Starting to sober up as we speak.

I thought that Hussey would have had a bowl earlier in the day as it was quite warm. It was getting late in the day at Australia were a chance to bowl them out with out Hussey having a bowl. Me and my mates started a couple of easy chants that got the crowd revved up but it didn't take much.

The first one was taking John Lennon's "Give peace a chance" and changing it to "Give Huss a bowl", the second was even simpler, which it needed to be as it was late in the day and there were kids around. "If you want Huss to bowl clap your hands, if you want Huss to bowl clap your hands, if you want Huss to bowl, cause he's really on a roll, if you want Huss to bowl clap your hands"

Awesome day at the cricket, dressed in pink, still haven't got my voice back yet......

Great tabs what a memorable day ;D Hussey getting a bowl created such suspence! Think everyone in Australia wanted a wicket! Would've been a Lockett style pitch invasion lead by yours truly i'm sure
