Great day of cricket, bowling has been very good, batting though some action has been ordinary at times, players realise it's a five day test match right :o exciting though

Went to the match today  ;D Probably going to go Day 3 (Friday as well). I left at 5 though so I missed a few wickets by the sounds of it, I left when Hughes got run out.

Good match, we are in a good position tomorrow to capatilise on the position and bat the Lankans out of the series.

I like the look of Bird, bit of Glenn McGrath about him. At this stage he is probably our sixth or seventh choice but by no means a bad one

An allrounder who bowls spin is exactly what Australia needs (Steve O'Keefe maybe?) because Lyon doesnt seem up to scratch lately

Someone remind me why Doherty and Krejza haven't been given more opportunities in the test team as the spinner? Both always dominate for Tasmania...

Doherty is too expensive and probably not as suited to the five day format, but he is the best for ODIs and T20s

Krejza I'm not sure   :-\

Steve O'Keefe is the guy I'm a big rap on

Yes he looked very good, could be a good player for a long time, he is only 26.

I think that Lyon is improving in his game all the time. They weree talking about him yesterday and Benaud mentioned that, comparing their careers, Lyon has more wickets than Richie when he had played the same amount of tests Lyon has now. It takes a long time to develop a good spinner, we need to be patient to find a good one.
