wow that's nice mate, but personally don't like Stanton and Murphy will hurt you when they get tagged, does Nic Nat look like he will be right for round 1? i not heard anything

oh yeah and all your premo mids have byes in round 13 even though best 18 scores count i'm not a fan of doing this

Stanton I am geelong a big year, his scores correlated with Essendon's performance and I am tipping them to do much better this year. Also the whole Goddard thing comes into play. Murphy I just think is underpriced after a down year due to injury. NicNat I can deal with when the time comes for round 1, could always turn him into Goldy or some other premo ruck.

Byes I am not worried about I think that midfield can smash out enough points in rounds 11 and 12 to get me through 13.

I actually liked your earlier team where you had 3 premo backs. i know your def "looks" weak but apart from Gibbs and Goddard the rest will push just over 90 average. adding in that there are no good forward rookies (at this point) and truckloads of defensive rookies, i think youre almost better off downgrading a def and bringing in another forward. you could even have a Kennedy/KNights/Varcoe as F6/F7. i think all 3 of those players present excellent value and will pick the best after NAB.

IMO Murphy is a great pick. Him, Ablett and Pendles are locked away in my mids.

Im iffy on Ryder due to Bellchambers performances while he was gone :\ could limit his ruck time and spend more time forward where they sorely need him. think youre better off back with Goldy, save yourself the odd 100k as well.

You guys are seriously considering Jaensch??? Ive considered him but not sure he can even make the team. Him or Brown will most likely take Doughty's spot, but even if he does hes not the highest ball winner? is there something im missing?

Capper

well for starters boss there are alot of your favourites in this team, too numerous to mention. I would swap Embley for Ball and Pendles for a premium that doesnt have the R13 bye. O'hailpin is an interesting one, is this just for the DPP?? If so take McBean as he is cheaper. Macaffer has a better chance of playing this year than Lamb at the same price. Nicnat's groin is a worry and may miss R1 and Daisy's ankle could be a problem as well.

Brendon Goddard, Bryce Gibbs, Hamish Hartlett, Greg Broughton, Jasper Pittard, Lewis Stevenson Sam Colquhoun, Nathan Wright

Gary Ablett jnr, Dayne Beams, Scott Pendlebury, Brent Stanton, Marc Murphy, Andrew Embley, Kane Mitchell, Jaeger O'Meara Tom Mitchell, Jack Viney

Patrick Ryder, Matthew Leuenberger Setanta O'hAilpin, Majak Daw

Tom Rockliff, Dale Thomas, Nic Naitanui, Dustin Martin, Brent Macaffer, Brent Staker Tom Lee, Jake Neade

Only made minor changes basically I downgraded Wines to Mitchell so i could afford Maccaffer and made some other minor rookie changes. Still can't go past any of the premiums currently in my side.

Scrads

So I have finally made more than a subtle change to the side. I moved out Stanton (sorry Jukes) and big Setanta and got in Pedo and Christensen (Note: Pedo could become Howard at some point I deliberated over them both for a while). This means I only have 1 forward rookie and 1 back rookie on the ground but 3 rookies in the midfield. What are your thoughts on this team v my prior team ?

Muppets'n'Spuds Fanplanner squad in the Dream Team competition coached by Scrads. Salary cap left: $38,400.

Brendon Goddard, Bryce Gibbs, Hamish Hartlett, Greg Broughton, Cameron Pedersen, Jasper Pittard
Lewis Stevenson, Sam Colquhoun

Gary Ablett jnr, Dayne Beams, Scott Pendlebury, Marc Murphy, Andrew Embley, Kane Mitchell, Josh Cowan, Tom Mitchell
Jaeger O'Meara, Jack Viney

Patrick Ryder, Matthew Leuenberger
Majak Daw, Max Gawn

Tom Rockliff, Dale Thomas, Nic Naitanui, Dustin Martin, Allen Christensen, Brent Macaffer
Brent Staker, Tom Lee

Also note this team has the much more satisfying bye structure of 9/10/11 and also an extra 38k spare cash I can use to tidy things up at later stages.

Capper

Even though your bye structure is a little better you are still going to have you 3 biggest scorers out for R13 which might hurt.

Nicnat as a DT star worries me but you have got more of your favourites in to your line up

And by 'Rookie' I mean 'Rookie-priced player' :P

Tom Rockliff, Nick Riewoldt, Dustin Martin, Greg Broughton, Allen Christensen, Chris Knights
Brent Macaffer, Brent Staker

So I have fiddled around since the new trading rules have come in and have settled on this.  I like the fact that I haveonly 4 rookie priced players on my field but a bit concerned I may be going to risky going Howard, Pederson, Christensen, Knights (Note, Knights is standing in place of the best option out of him, Gray, JJK and Varcoe).

I have a spare 60k which means I can still adjust my team if I decide against one of these risks. But I kinda like having the 60k there as 'bailout' money I can use of I have underperforming premiums in rounds 1 and 2 to afford almost anyone I want to replace them with.

The only negative with this team that is bugging me is the absence of Swan and GAJ, I have no idea where I stand with them this season I have no idea whether to just get one or both or not from the get go.

Any thoughts would be appreciated :)

Capper

no swan, No GAJ, No Clue  ;)

I like Beams and i see the upside of Pendles, but no GAJ with his start is a deal breaker
