Team is 40k under cap with all the new prices have taken out alot of my mid pricers and goign almost pure gun and rookie. Team looks really strong in my opinion.

Goddard, Gibbs, Grimes, Broughton, Vlaustion, Docherty (Staker, Colquhon)
Ablett, Cotchin, Pendles, Murphy, Redden, Wines, Omeara, Viney (Crouch, Hrovart)
Goldy, Burger ( Daw, B.Grundy)
Thomas, Rockliff, Johnson, Martin, Stringer, Mayes (Lee, Menzel)

looks overpowered in my opinion but as logn as the fanplanner budget is correct its under cap. only 7 rookies on the field. and really maybeee only 7-8 upgrades.

Very similar to my team I just have 1 different premo in fwd mids and def but exact same structure

Stick with your original smokey in Mundy holz!

I brought him up now he is common. But just made some moves.

Cya Later Redden and Cotchin and Hellwo Swanny and Mundy

105-110 + 110-120 v 130 + 100 +

Swan Ablett Pendles Murphy Mundy is a nice looking top 5. With 8 mids mundy wont be a bad M8, I can always turn him into a cotchin/boyd/stanton type if i need.

We have the exact same midfield now :o

I reckon Mundy will go 105+ easy.

Holz

Goddard, Gibbs, Grimes, Hartlett, Goodes, Docherty (Staker, Pittard)
Ablett, Swan, Pendles, Murphy, Mundy , K.Martin, Omeara, Viney (Crouch, Hrovart)
Goldy, Burger ( Moller, B.Grundy)
Robbinson, Rockliff, N.Roo, Broughton, Rioli, Staker (Lee, Growden)

taking a few more risks with the extra trades harteltt and rioli now make the squad. With extra trading i can see DPP becoming more helpful, that and I prefer back rookies has made me put broughts up front for flexibility and to essentailly let me pick up 5 backs, while taking advantage of the back rookies.

Doing stuff like i want SJ for his good draw round 9 onwards is now null so he is out of the squad. Nroo has a killer 1st 3 rounds GC, Richmond, GWS.

Also no need to waste money on a r4 so im going moller. as he is cheapest

I have also good rid of wines because im looking for cash fast so im going for the 100k rookies it also let me load up the forward line.

Round 2 trades: fix up rookies
Round 3 trades: Highest BE premo out    Lowest BE rookie in + fix up other another  rookie
Round 4 trades: Premo back in (or another one) for worst rookie + Nroo out and best forward back in (maybee buddy)

Nice work Holz. I will still prefer a mid pricer or 2 as POD potential this season, but your trade strategy makes sense

rather than mid pricers i have gone for guys stuck in the range of mid pricers to premo.

Like rioli, hartlett, mundy etc..

not convinced by embly and ball.

im just thinking that most people dont trade in the round 4-7 range so typical strategies dont work, im thinking is if i can make a quick 100k of martin by round 5 i can turn mundy into a cotchin and as i said a Nroo into a buddy

so by round 5

Goddard, Gibbs, Grimes, Harteltt, Rookie, Rookie
Ablett, Cotchin, Pendles, Murphy,Cotchin, Rookie, Rookie, Rookie
Goldy, Burger
Franklin, Rockliff, Robbinson, Broughton, Riolio, Rookie

looks mighty strong.

Mr.Craig

I tell you, if Martin is named Round 1...

Looks like a good team. There's a couple of guys I wouldn't touch personally but I can understand your reasoning for picking them.

T Dog

Yep , no issue in the plan Holz, but this year it just may be common place with all the trades available. I am thinking a strategy that brings in 2 pods/specialists each week may be the go this year.  :o

If i had a chance to lock in two Cotchins I would too ;)

Broughton in the fwds :o Rioli aswell + Hartlett spells trouble for me.......

the first cotchin should be swanny. Much much better.

My thoughts with broughton in the forwards is would you rater start 2 back rookie or 2 forward rookies.

With the million trades we get this year if hartlett or rioli get injured just trade them out.

picker_man

Definantly a strong mids now with Swanny at mid 2 :)

Looking at my team compared to yours surprised you got Broughton and Rioli to fit in :o My team overall isnt much difference but I have Walker instead of Broughts and Varcoe over Rioli, I think your two guys will outscore mine. This is actually a great team imo now ive compared it + as you said better to have rookie backs then fwds as alot more options.

I retract my last post that is a killer team Holz!!! Has me thinking atleast ;)

essendon2

just one thing! what if in Round 4, after you've traded out that premo with a high BE, posts a massive score like 140 and you miss out on it!

very similar to my team too though:

Murphy v Redden
Mundy v Ball
MID Rook v Embley
Broughton v Sylvia
Rioli v Knights

The week after and take their injury affected score.
And price drop.

Off course if they do that you lose. You look who has a hard game though for that round. Haven't looked at the draw too much but say if murphy is playing a team with a hard tagger he is out for the week
