with mundy rolling his ankle I have decided to drop him and load up with a super strong midfield. I have also upgraded the mid rookies. So have spent alot on that line.

Salary cap left: $11,100.

Brendon Goddard, Jack Grimes, Bryce Gibbs, Greg Broughton, Brett Goodes, Sam Docherty
Sam Colquhoun, Dean Terlich

Dane Swan, Gary Ablett jnr, Scott Pendlebury, Marc Murphy, Jack Redden, Oliver Wines, Jesse Lonergan, Jaeger O'Meara
Brad Crouch, Jack Viney

Todd Goldstein, Matthew Leuenberger
Brodie Grundy, Craig Moller

Tom Rockliff, Mitch Robinson, Dustin Martin, Cyril Rioli, Josh J. Kennedy, Brent Staker
Joshua Growden, Tom Lee

GM

Quality side Holzy,
My only concern would be Rioli,Sylvia & Kennedy,
Cox as dpp in there would sure up your fwds and a ruck back up.
Def-great
mids-strong
Rucks-like most
Fwds-a bit of tinkering imo needed.
overall nice 8/10

Holz

Yeah Probably abit too much risk on the forward line.

Out: Cotchin, Syliva

IN: Redden, Martin

Windigo

That midfield is nearly the exactly the same as mine.  :o

Why do so many have Growden?  He is still about a month away from full training as he recovers from a hip complaint.

I reckon D-Mart is mega value at his price and is definitely a bargain if he ups his fitness and becomes the 95+ gun we know he can.  ;)

I reckon Knights or Varcoe could potentially be better picks than Kennedy. But NAB will decide for sure.  8)

done alot of thinking as i really wasnt happy with my sqaud before. I have finally made a team where I like every line and looks really strong in my opinion. Cant really see a fault in it (besides back and forward rookie picks but I will fix them with the NAB)

Brendon Goddard, Jack Grimes, Bryce Gibbs, Greg Broughton, Brett Goodes, Sam Docherty
Sam Colquhoun, Dean Terlich

Dane Swan, Gary Ablett jnr, Scott Pendlebury, Marc Murphy, Trent Cotchin, Andrew Embley, Oliver Wines, Jaeger O'Meara
Brad Crouch, Jack Viney

Todd Goldstein, Matthew Leuenberger
Brodie Grundy, Craig Moller

Tom Rockliff, Mitch Robinson, Dustin Martin, Colin Sylvia, Brent Macaffer, Brent Staker
Joshua Growden, Tom Lee

got a super strong midfield now, Embley finished the year really strong and i think he can go 85-90.

got the 4 premo up front and down back.

Adamant

Looks really balanced and strong now Holz. Great side.

How much cash left?

truBLUE

Great side Holz, super strong mids embley adds the icing  ;)

hmm IMO it's really risky to be playing two FWD rooks - Growden is still 4 weeks away from training. I'm not sure who you'd downgrade but especially with Staker's injury past, if he gets injured you'll have no choice but pick up a DEF rook (swap Broughton into FWDS)

really balanced side though, maybe your MID's a little too strong?  :P

is there such a thing as too strong a mid. Yeah that forward line really is my only concern. Growden is just there as i havent found anyone to pick really, im hoping somebody pops up in the NAB. The forward line is where I will be spending my cash early though so im planning on some very early rookie downgrades maybee like round 5-7 and to fix that line up fast. If staker goes down injured very early might be in some trouble but with 2 trades a week shouldn't hurt too much. I can always do stuff like downgrade my biggest BE mid premo to a rookie who starts late and is on the bubble and than go staker to a forward/back premo who is firing.

I think we can take these sought of risks this year. It all depends if macaffer and lee play really or if someone else pops up.

the plan though is to bring in gray after 2 games. at 270k he represents great value for what he can do. Its why i have decided to only go 4 forwards. All depedns on how gray is travelling but if he coudl come in round 3-4 that would be great straight swap for a rookie.

I like how you have Grundy. Why is everyone not picking him?

Windigo

Again, why Josh Growden?

"still about a month away from full training as he recovers from a hip complaint. This is worrying as the Giants clearly lack talented young players to cover."

As of 29/1/13

josh growden is there becuase i couldnt find anyone else to pick yet. So he is just there to make space im hoping someone 108k or less will pop up. If not I will have to move my team around.

If not i just trade wines down to kane or tom mitchell and than pick up a guy like mayes daniher menzel.

Chelskiman

Backs are exactly the same as mine and your premium mids are very similar to mine (I have Swan, Ablett, Cotch, Redden, Murph and Embley).  Two main ruckmen are the same as mine.  Over all a very strong squad.
