Love the send off he got in the end and that pause, look around the ground, and raising of the bat and helmet signals the end of an era, with the last of the Waugh era players retiring from the game.

Windigo

Averaged just 6 in his final series. If he wasn't retiring he would have been dropped after that game, then he would retire.

It's good that he had the foresight to retire "On his terms" in a way.  :)

One of the most historic images of recent cricket history.

On another note, I realise it's not really anything new, but I have heard that Sachin may well retire if India beat England. Jayawardena has said he will consider retirement after losing (inevitably) to the Aussies this summer and Jacques can't be too far away from the end. All the greats retiring......

Jacques has averaged 67.43 this year w/ the bat and taken 11 wickets (not many wickets, I know)

So I can't really see him retiring any time soon. He's superman tbh.
