Made a few changes, tried to make a team which hopefully will fit under the salary cap and i've put some thought into rookies.

what do you think of this one mate went a bit cheaper in the mids so i could get 5 starters plus downgraded to Varcoe

TEAM NAME: FIGJAM
DEF: B. Goddard, B. Gibbs, G. Birchall, J. Grimes, G. Broughton, C. Pedersen (S. Docherty, D. Terlich)
MID: S. Pendlebury, T. Cotchin, L. Shuey, J. Redden, L. Ball, O. Wines, B. Crouch, J. O'Meara (M. Jones, J. Viney)
RUC: N. Naitanui, M. Leuenberger (M. Daw, J. Witts)
FWD: L. Franklin, T. Rockliff, J. Lewis, D. Martin, M. LeCras, T. Varcoe (T. Menzel, B. Staker)
CASH LEFT: $167,600

Def: Really like it. Strong spread of players that could all become keepers even including Pedo

Mid: I like Shuey in there but maybe a little shallow with him as your M3. I must admit I dont know a whole lot about Redden but looking at his scores, he seems a little more suited to DT?

Ruc: Beautiful

Fwd: Very strong. Like the backline, they are all possible keepers, even Varcoe.

A nice team but running it deep in the back and fwd is leaving it one super prem short in the middle. Think it would be better to have an extra star in their and only one of either Shuey or Redden. 8.5/10

DEF: H. Shaw, B. Gibbs, G. Broughton, N. Bock, L. Plowman, S. Docherty (B. Staker, S. Colquhoun)
MID: D. Swan, P. Dangerfield, T. Cotchin, B. Goddard, M. Robinson, L. Ball, T. Varcoe, L. Whitfield (J. O'Meara, J. Viney)
RUC: N. Naitanui, M. Leuenberger (M. Daw, B. Grundy)
FWD: L. Franklin, P. Ryder, J. Bartel, R. Gray, M. LeCras, J. Stringer (J. Daniher, K. Jaksch)
CASH LEFT: $366,900

thoughts?

Def: Perhaps a prem short. Broughton can hopefully push up around the 90+ avg at GC

Mid: I dont think Goddard belongs in the midfield. Push him to the backline and Robinson to the forward line.

Ruc: Perfect combo

Fwd: Nice mix but as ive said for other teams I would prefer to use Jimmy as an upgrade target. Wouldnt expect Gray to play early on either. Not playing nab cup is a bad sign this early on

Few players moved around would make it alot better. As it is 7/10

Realise the season is still a while away but appreciate your comments and have revised as follows:

DEF: H. Shaw, B. Gibbs, G. Broughton, N. Bock, L. Plowman, K. Jaksch (S. Docherty, S. Colquhoun)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, D. Swan, P. Dangerfield, T. Cotchin, B. Goddard, L. Ball, T. Varcoe, L. Whitfield (J. O'Meara, J. Viney)
RUC: N. Naitanui, M. Leuenberger (M. Daw, B. Grundy)
FWD: L. Franklin, P. Ryder, M. Robinson, M. LeCras, J. Stringer, J. Daniher (B. Staker, J. Hogan)
CASH LEFT: $323,400

I would prefer to keep Goddard just so flexibility in being able to rotate some of the back line if need be and have varcoe to rotate with fwd line.

Thoughts?

Def: Same as before, Still would like to see Goddard moved back there.

Mid: Very nice, stronger than before. Just shift Goddard out to the backs and put another kid in imo.

Ruc: Same as before, perfect

Def: Much better looking forward line. Moving bj to the def, and getting a kid in the middle may leave enough for another prem here as well.

Like your new team better, a couple of things I would change but a solid team 8/10

Def: Same as before, rookie changes hard to comment on at this stage

Mid: Downgrade of Selwood to Fyfe a risky one but Fyfe is a star set for a breakout year so a good player to take the risk on

Ruc: Same as before, solid

Fwd: Still question marks on where stevie J will play but hopefully midfield. Martin will hopefully be set for a massive year. If he can continue his good footy on into the 2nd half of games he will be set for a 100+ avg.

Liked your last team and I like this team. Still a 9/10 from me

ok i took Grimes out for Yarran was him or Atley but i think Malthouse will utilize Yarran better then Ratts did then went Redden to Kennedy i think this is an extremely well balanced side now taking into account money left over

Def: Love the choice of Yarran. Bout time I saw someone with him in their side. Its a risk but I think he will really shine under Malthouse.

Mids: Like this alot more. 3 super prems and one hopeful in Shuey is a great balance.

Ruc: Same again

Fwd: Same again

Think you will lose very little from bringing in Yaz for Grimes yet you gain alot by bringing in Kennedy for Redden. Not sure if it will or wont fit under the salary cap but for now its a very nice balanced team 9.5/10

Here is one for you to rate quinny.

Been playing around with a bit to see what I can come up with.  Left Ablett out as imo he is overpriced but may be an upgrade target later.  Carrying a back injury which may restrict him early.  Needs 134 just to B/e.
Vlastuin, Menzell, Rowe are DPP.

If Laycock picked up by GWS will replace Daw

Team selected will go all right through bye period as well,

TEAM NAME: Ringos Stars
DEF: B. Goddard, B. Gibbs, H. Hartlett, P. Hanley, S. Atley, C. Pedersen (K. Jaksch, D. Terlich)
MID: S. Pendlebury, J. Kennedy, T. Cotchin, D. Mundy, L. Ball, O. Wines, J. O'Meara, J. Viney (N. Vlastuin, T. Menzel)
RUC: S. Jacobs, M. Leuenberger (S. Rowe, M. Daw)
FWD: L. Franklin, N. Naitanui, T. Rockliff, D. Martin, B. Staker T. Varcoe (B. Macaffer, R. Atkins,)
CASH LEFT: $239,700

Def: Nice backline, not sure on the choice of Atley, whats the reason behind his selection?

Mid: Really strong, nice line. Leaving Gaz out a risk but does save a lot of money. You will need to hope his price drops fast so you can get him in asap though or its going to hurt missing out on some big scores.

Ruc: First time I have seen Jacobs in a FanPlanner team. Aa nice POD that should score well for you.

Fwd: Strong again and a nice choice of prems and rooks. One of the few teams I have seen without Lecras.

I like this team. Some nice POD's amongst the popular picks 9/10

Thanks Quinny - may not get under cap but will cross that bridge when final prices announced, Settled on this team for now.
Always try to get a couple of POD initially - Jacobs was good to me last year and see no reason why he can not continue especially being Crows No 1 ruck,
Regarding Atley it is a gut feel - One of the few players to improve SC scores in second year and if he improves a similar amount this year will be averaging 86 not bad for a defender. With Harvey suspended for the first 6 weeks and with the recruitment of Jacobs and Hine can see him spending more time running through the midfield as well.  As I said gut feel and looking for a break out player.
Was a toss up between Varcoe and LeCras and went the cheaper option.
Thanks for the opinion.
