Thanks Quinny, yuour help is very appreciated :)

Apex Predator Fanplanner squad in the Super Coach competition coached by Rowy. Salary cap left: $437,600.

Brendon Goddard, Bryce Gibbs, Hamish Hartlett, Jack Grimes, Cameron Pedersen, Nick Vlastuin
Campbell Heath, Jasper Pittard

Joel Selwood, Brett Deledio, Trent Cotchin, Chris Judd, Jimmy Toumpas, Oliver Wines, Jordan Gysberts, Jaeger O'Meara
Nathan Hrovat, Jack Viney

Nic Naitanui, Matthew Leuenberger
Sam Rowe, Brodie Grundy

Lance Franklin, Dean Cox, Tom Rockliff, Colin Sylvia, Mark LeCras, Travis Varcoe
Troy Menzel, Brent Staker

Def: Looks great, hopefully Hartlett can stay injury free for you. Vlastuin looks ready made so hopefuly Richmond give him the opportunity right from round 1.

Mid: No real standout captain option here. Think you need one of Ablett, Pendles or Swan. I do like the unique's of Deledio and Selwood though, both had super consistent seasons and hopefully back it up. Judd I think is past his best and would suggest looking elsewhere. Gysberts a nice unique. If he can get games he knows how to get his hands on the ball.

Ruck: Big tick. Very good option

Fwd: Really like this. Cox giving you the R/F link, Sylvia a nice unique.

Nice team, like all lines, just needs a captain option in the middle instead of Judd and you are right to go! 8/10

This team is really hard to fault.
Some minor tweaks that I would suggest.
Drop Bock because he will seriously lack a preseason and might even struggle to be ready for R1. Pederson is a good option here or another basement priced defender.
You will unearth better mid rooks during the NAB cup. Mitchell will struggle to break into the Swans line up and Van Unen may have a few ahead of him at the Bombers.
Your midfield just seems to be lacking one more premium, perhaps downgrading Bock, and sacrificing some cash out of Ablett and Bartel would allow you to upgrade Ball to a 5th premium?

Great start though.

thanks for the advice. in terms of rookies, im not gonna spend too much time on them as we really have to wait till after the nab cup.

in midfield, im considering upgrading mundy to a super premium but im not sure ill have the cash once we find out the real prices.

with bock, thanks for that, i didnt realise he hasnt recovered yet, so i might get another rookie (docherty) instead.

does anyone know how these players are tracking?

Def: Very solid, like Duffield as a unique

Mid: Nice spread. Really like the look of Mundy, his end to the season was outstanding and he is reportedly training really well

Ruck: Very nice combo, will be a poular choice.

Fwd: Like it, but would consider taking someone else instead of Bartel. His avg is on the decline, he will play less mid time than ever before. Possible upgrade target but not a starter imo

all in all I like it a lot. its a strong side with plenty of sallary left over to account for price rises. 9/10

DEF: Not sure about broughton as he has struggled in recent years, but maybe a good unique. Rest is good.
MID: Very good, although u might want to get 1 unique premium.
RUC: Solid
FOR: Got some risks in there with Rocky, Thomas and StevieJ. Could pay off but you might to go with at least 1 more reliable forward such as NicNat.

Overall pretty good, a solid midfield and ruck and got some nice uniques in Defence and forward so overall 8.5/10

Yeah i think Rocklidd is a must have.

Those players you mentioned im not sure about except gray has been ruled out of NAB cup games so would avoid him

Def: I like it, I think Broughton will be given plenty of mid time at GC so should bounce back

Mid: Very strong. Good to see you back Selwood in, he is super consistant.

Ruck: Standard choice. Solid

Fwd: Few question marks. Stevie J had a great back half of the year once he was moved into the midfield but will he start 2013 their or be moved back to the fwd line? Would keep an ear out for what Brad Scott's plans are for him.
Daisey just went in for ankle surgery and is barely going to get a pre season so I would probably avoid him unless he plays nab cup.

Nice team across all lines, just keep an eye and ear out for those forward players. 9/10

NoButYeah

Came up with this:

DEF: B. Goddard, B. Gibbs, G. Birchall, G. Broughton, K. Jaksch, D. Terlich (S. Docherty, B. Staker)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, D. Swan, T. Cotchin, M. Murphy, M. Priddis, N. Vlastuin, J. O'Meara, J. Anderson (R. Atkins, J. Viney)
RUC: S. Mumford, M. Leuenberger (M. Daw, B. Grundy)
FWD: L. Franklin, N. Naitanui, T. Rockliff, A. Monfries, J. Daniher, B. Macaffer (M. Paparone, B. Kennedy)
CASH LEFT: $388,600

Def: Considering Hartlett and Duffield but not sure yet.

Mid: Yeah. Rooks will change.

Ruck: I reckon Mumford will only go up in price.

Fwd: Goin with Monfries as a mid pricer, not really sure why. Just cos.

Def: Very nice. The Goodard, Gibbs, Birchall combo is proving to be a popular one so far.

Mid: First team i can recall seeing with Swanny which is surprising. I think maybe because Pendles represents a little better value, although you cant really go wrong with either. Only fault is that you have spent a lot of money here

Ruck: I like Mummy. Hopefully he can stay injury free and he will be a very nice pickup for you.

Fwd: Maybe slightly shallow due to your expensive midfield but a solid choice of prems. Monfries im not sold on, I would take Lecras over him.

Good looking team early on with a few tweaks needed 8/10

Hey mate not had a team rated since the new structure so here goes

TEAM NAME: FIGJAM
DEF: B. Goddard, B. Gibbs, G. Birchall, J. Grimes, G. Broughton, C. Pedersen (S. Docherty, D. Terlich)
MID: S. Pendlebury, J. Kennedy, T. Cotchin, L. Ball, O. Wines, J. Lonergan, B. Crouch, J. O'Meara (M. Jones, J. Viney)
RUC: N. Naitanui, M. Leuenberger (M. Daw, B. Grundy)
FWD: L. Franklin, T. Rockliff, D. Thomas, J. Lewis, D. Martin, M. LeCras (B. Staker, L. McBean)
CASH LEFT: $219,800

i know about Thomas ankle surgery but cant decide who to replace him with yet or might see if he plays NAB and decide then

my mids structure depends on how many rookies get named round one so if i need to i'll drop Thomas/Martin and ad a premo mid

not worried about rookies at all really at this stage

if i cant keep the team when prices are official i'll drop Broughton/Martin probably

btw any idea why Lewis is not a popular choice?

Def: Like it alot. Thats the backline I want to start with at this point so it must be perfect :P

Mid: Nice spread. You havent gone too heavy and left Gaj out which is risky but it also allows you to bolster up other lines. Love the choice of Kennedy.

Ruck: Perfect

Fwd: Yeah the ankle surgery is a concern for daisy. they hoped he wouldnt need it but then decided to go with it after it continued to trouble him at the start of pre season training. Not a good start. Maybe someone like Cox or Ryder which would give you the r/f link.
McBean will not play for at least 2 years he is the skinniest guy I have seen on an AFL list.

Like the side, just has a few unknowns at this stage that will be revealed over the pre season 8/10

kilbluff1985

yeah McBean wont make my final team

so any idea why Lewis is not in more teams?
