Hey guys,
Like Jroo has done, I am setting this thread up for anyone who is interested to post your fanplanner teams and I will give you my honest feedback & rating.
I dont claim to be a SC expert, I am merely giving my own personal opinion and advice where I can.
The off season is boring me to tears so doing this will hopefully keep me somewhat occupied and give me my SC fix while hopefully helping out along the way :)

Haha I dont mind mate will keep the large protion of my brain taken up by SC well stimulated :P

Alrighty..
Def: very solid. Johnson will be a unique pick and has ability to score big when not playing a lock down role.

Mid: solid again. 3-1-4 setup works well and I like the unique in kennedy while ball should make you some quick cash.

Ruc: good to see someone other than nicnat or gody. Ivan will be the lone hand at Richmond and will pump out some big numbers again no doubt.

Fwd: would have to nit-pick here and question winderlich as he has struggled over the past few seasons with injury. If he can get his body right he will no doubt serve you well.

A very nice team with few, if any faults at this very early stage. 9.5/10

Cheers mate appreciate it

the Lecras/Winderlich spots are open for all the mid priced forwards in that range for whoever shows the most form in NAB and looks fit so they are just fill ins really

Def: little bit heavy here having no rookies on the field. Not sure how waters is progressing after his foot surgery so I would look into that. Rivers will play a lock down role so I would give him a miss.

Mid: expensive lines elsewhere means that your mids are taking the hit. mids are the big scorers, you want atleast 3 imo. Whitfield a gun no doubt but is he worth the 200k price tag? Theres certain to be someone out there for half the price that scores just as much.

Ruc: very nice

Fwd: seems a bit shallow with jack as your F3. Not sure about Mayne or Krakouer either. I would look at other options.

Bit hit and miss in some areas but some solid choices in there aswell 6/10 at this stage, heaps of room for improvement

Great thread Quinny - I like my team, it is quite unique with a few risky moves. Thoughts?
Salary cap left: $71,000.

Jackson Thurlow, Brent Staker

Scott Pendlebury, Marc Murphy, Brent Stanton, Luke Ball, Jake Stringer, Oliver Wines, Brad Crouch, Tom Mitchell
Jaeger O'Meara, Jack Viney

Todd Goldstein, Matthew Leuenberger
Brodie Grundy, Liam McBean

Lance Franklin, Nic Naitanui, Taylor Walker, Tom Rockliff, Dale Thomas, Nathan Bock
Joe Daniher, Brent Macaffer

Nige

NamesAreOverrated Fanplanner squad in the Super Coach competition coached by Nigey95. Salary cap left: $164,900.

Brendon Goddard, Bryce Gibbs, Grant Birchall, Pearce Hanley, Greg Broughton, Kristian Jaksch
(Jasper Pittard, Brent Staker)

Gary Ablett jnr, Scott Pendlebury, Trent Cotchin, Marc Murphy, Luke Ball, Oliver Wines, Brad Crouch, Jaeger O'Meara
(Nathan Hrovat, Jack Viney)

Nic Naitanui, Matthew Leuenberger
(Jarrod Witts, Brodie Grundy)

Lance Franklin, Dean Cox, Tom Rockliff, Jake Stringer, Chris Knights, Mark LeCras
(Brent Macaffer, Taylor Garner)

That's how it stands at the moment. But I've decided that I'll probably drop either Knights or Hanley to free the cash and get a unique player in the mids at Hrovat's expense. Looking at Priddis and Wallis for that unique.

Thanks Jay!

Def: Very solid, as I said to powerman, im not entirely sure on how Waters is recovering from a pretty serious foot injury but a solid pick if he has been training before xmas.

Mid: Looks pretty solid. Picking 8 mids to start is something to get used to. As im sure you were expecting, im going to disagree with the choice of Stanton as a prem mid. Way to big of a gap between his best and worst and although Goddard will hopefully provide him some relief from the heavy tag he will still get a lot of attention if he is allowed to start the season well again.

Ruck: Solid. Dont bother with McBean, he is 20kg away from playing AFL football. A ruck/fwd dpp would be handy to swap with NicNat when needed.

Fwd: Very solid with the exception of Daisy. He is yet to start his pre season as he just went in for ankle surgery. Would wait and see how that pans out but would be a nice pick up if he is fit and firing round 1

Very solid team with a couple of risks. 8/10

Def: Like it alot. Hanley a nice unique

Mid: Cant pick any fault with this line. Maybe a tad expensive but you have got the players everyone wants.

Ruck: Super combo, no faults again

Fwd: Your weakest line, taken a bit of a hit with expensive lines elsewhere. Your choice of premiums are first class though and I like the pick of McAffer, almost a forgotten man

Really like this side. Very safe 9.5/10

Thanks Quinny - shuffled it around a bit, thoughts?

Brendon Goddard, Bryce Gibbs, Hamish Hartlett, Jack Grimes, Dyson Heppell, Cameron Pedersen
Sam Docherty, Brent Staker

Scott Pendlebury, Kieren Jack, Luke Shuey, Luke Ball, Jake Stringer, Oliver Wines, Jack Viney, Brad Crouch
Jaeger O'Meara, Nick Vlastuin

Todd Goldstein, Stefan Martin
Jarrod Witts, Brodie Grundy

Lance Franklin, Nic Naitanui, Taylor Walker, Tom Rockliff, Dustin Martin, Nathan Bock
Sam Mayes, Brent Macaffer

Got rid of Stants, I think Shuey is set for a great year and represents good value. Got rid of McBean but kept the DPP by adding Stefan Martin, he averaged 85 last year and I reckon he can do it again. Also went the cheaper option in Dusty Martin to replace Daisy. Surely Dusty has to pull a season together soon???

Def: Like this, good mix of players that should all avg 90+ and even Pedersen is a good chance to avg 80+

Mid: Jack a unique that should do you well. I think you need 3 starting prems though and then someone like a Shuey.
Shuey may well have a big season but he is a marginal risk. I think you want 3 deffinate 115+ players before Shuey.

Ruck: Good decision moving McBean out as he deffinetly wont play round 1 but not sure about Stefan Martin. Even if he does avg 85, its not enough for a finishing R2 and he will be very hard to ever upgrade as I dont think his money will ever shoot up.

Fwd: Very strong but very expensive and downgrading someone to a rook means you could get an extra prem into your midfield.

Actually prefer the first team you posted at the moment

Thanks mate!

Def: Very solid, nice to see someone pick up Heater. He is one of the best averaging defenders yet everyone avoids him like the plague.

Mid: All the big names in their, looks very nice

Ruck: No faults, will be the most popular combo

Fwd: Again solid, only negative would be having 3 Kpp players. I would consider swapping one for Cox or Ryder which will also give you that Ruck/fwd link with NicNat as well.

Dont think this team will quite be affordable once official prices are released but for now it looks very good 9/10
