Anyone know any potential rookies that you think may come out from left field? -ie- Barlow, Zorko kinds.

I have heard a lot about Ben Duscher as a potential rookie pick up who could be good at Afl level.

Josh Cowan from the cats, Jed Lamb from the swans.- both haven't had the opportunity due to injuries/behind too many players.
Mitchell from sydney will smash it too.

Anyone know any others/2012 vfl players picked up this draft maybe?

Zip what are your thoughts on Aylett getting games this season now that he is over his knee injury, was a very good player in his draft year.

Ziplock

I haven't seen much of him- he only had the one subbed game aye... he showed he could score ok there, so if he can get his fitness right that isn't a big concern.

my main issue is his JS- we've got a ridiculous list of talented mids and hbs... he'd have to be pretty amazing to drop one of our boys out of his spot permanently. He'd probs be up the top of the list for HBs if we copped an injury, but when that would happen, and how he would perform after that isn't really a known factor.

I wouldn't start with him, downgrade target. Unless he has an amazing NAB I doubt he'll debut round 1.

Cheers for that Zip. I agree with the amount of players ahead of him particularly in mids and half back.

Dean Towers at the swans could be an interesting one. Mature age, Swans picked him up with their first pick

Lamb and Mitchell are next in line though aren't they?

SydneyRox

Wont know for sure until nab cup starts, but would think Towers comes into calculations early, doesnt just fall into line behind the existing guys. He will have to prove himself and earn his spot, but certainly has a body to play seniors straight up.

Campbell heath at port? Haven't seen much on this guy lately but rated him when he first got to Sydney and will surely find it easier to break into the port side. Any port supporters have any info on him?

Definitely on my radar, if he has a good NAB cup, will be hard to ignore at rookie price. 8)

What position does he play?  Did sydney delist him this year?

From his wiki page -

Campbell Heath (born 1 April 1991) is an Australian rules footballer for the Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).

Heath was drafted to Sydney with the 61st selection in the 2008 AFL Draft. He was the second-youngest player selected.[1] and played across half-back for the Gippsland Power in the TAC Cup. Heath remained in Melbourne for the 2009 season to finish his schooling before moving to Sydney in 2010.[2]

He made his senior AFL debut in Sydney's round 9, 2010 loss to Fremantle at the Sydney Cricket Ground in May 2010.[3]

After being delisted at the conclusion of the 2011 premiership season, Heath was offered another shot by the Swans and was subsequently selected on the Rookie List. He played all year as a linchpin in the reserves' back line, taking the best forwards every week in the NEAFL. His consistent form led to him being promoted to the Seniors List at the beginning of the Swans' finals run. This would imply that he is in with a strong chance of gaining at least another year on the playing list, particularly given he has survived the first list cut in which 5 players were delisted.

He was traded to the Port Adelaide Football Club during the 2012 Trade Period citing wanting to have more opportunities at AFL level.

A lot of guns out there. But will need to wait for some nab cup/round 1 selections before start looking around at whos better than who.
