Not against a new team but I can forsee similar problems to what we currently have coaches having multiple teams again freezing out new coaches. If it goes ahead would like to see it restricted to caoches without a current team in any of the other 4 comps.

As an aside please feel free to comment here I am thinking of doing this with the British

Introducing a second League called British xv's 1st Division.  This league will be open to coaches and if enough interest will organise a draft when we say reach 8 coaches but can have up to 18 as well.

Yeh thats the only fair way to give the people who don't already have a team a fair go! Dont know how you could do that when players would be doubled up when someone goes up or down leagues. Wouldn;t work unless the teams were reset every year!

Not sure how promotion would work? Maybe if the new comp didnt start until you had say 32 teams and every player is available twice. Then you could have two divisions with promoting and demoting and its a bit different to the other XVs.

Better and eassier just to have new comp all together i reckon :)

Hmmmm its an interesting idea, but I don't think it would work. Players would all need to be drafted again, and when teams move up or down a league, you will start to get double ups of players, and not having them the same is one of the main parts of the XVs competitions.

i think people should only be head coach of 2 teams personally

i think if a reserves type thing is going to be made should be in WXV or EXV the 2 more popular comps

but yeah a new comp is just easier who cares what scoring it uses if enough coaches are interested why not some people are being a bit hmm cant think of the word about not having dupe scoring systems

Thanks for the comments guys. Very stimulating discussion and something to consider all round. Will have to reconsider 1st division and how to keep teams unique on promotion if it goes ahead as an example of points raised in discussion.

Not sure of the best way forward and not to stifle everyone’s enthusiasm will keep exploring possibilities.   

Realise it is hard to give up teams so you would only have one team as coaches have spent time drafting and trading and want to keep team going forward. Especially in British and Asians as these are new competitions for this year.

Will follow this thread with interest.

Do you propose making a new comp everytime 3 people want to be involved?
Just be patient and wait for gaps.
Either that or I propose each person is aloud a maximum of 2 teams. Maybe even 1.

And if someone takes the Suns name ill be furious. Haha.
