Tominator

And also he averaged 28 possessions playing as a running defender at the NAB U18s last year for SA, if he is played in the same role he will be a gun

Port's defence,

Hombsch - Carlile - Logan

Pittard - Trengove - Hamstrings

+ O'Shea, Cassisi, P Stewert, Moore, Stevenson

Does 18yr Colquhoun fit into this back six regularly? I think not

Noz

Don't forget Tom Jonas as well he was upgraded to the main list mainly to play games next year so as i see it

Logan - Carlile - Hombsch/Heath

Jonas -  Trengrove - Hartlett

For the record Sammy did not play a senior game for Centrals, just say'n don't pick him based on his U18's averages

For the record at the same age and same position, Rory Laird did far better at West Adelaide but he's still on Adelaide's rookie list

if Sam Colquhoun is named round one i'll call Taylor Walker a spud!

Noz

I think he will be lucky to play more than 5 games.

PowerBug

Carlile and Trengove hold down the 2 key spots. Hombsch will replace Chaplin. Then there's Pittard who was favoured by Primus but doesn't mean that'll happen with the new guy. (Forgotten him lol) I can't see Heath playing, Paul Stewart will be a Fwd i think. Logan will play when fit. Jonas and O'Shea are fighting for 1 spot i think. Andrew Moore is running through the midfield, won't be any defensive work from him. Heath and Stevenson i don't think will play much, they have a better chance of playing at Port though than they did at their previous clubs.

After all that rabble, my back 6 for Rd 1:
Logan - Carlile - Hombsch
Pittard - Trengove - Hartlett

Although depending on Logan's after footy life he may choose to take on more of a coaching/developing role in 2013, opening the door for Jonas/O'Shea to get more games. (Just a thought)

Games for Colquhoun won't be very frequent.

I do think he's a good player, and probably will be more useful than Jonas, although not Heath if he's on the park. Lewis Stevenson often plays out of defence too in the Colqhoun role.

However the CD league side is pretty hard to break into, especially if you're a small back. Wouldn't write him off for R1 at all.

Ziplock

he'll play 25 and be the normsmith medallist.

lol. jk :P

It is so good to see all this competition for positions in the Port side as i have said the entire pre season. Very exciting times to be a Port supporter.

Every line seems to be covered now and covered well.

And unlike those at West Lakes, we don't cheat.

We don't need to. ;) What's that H2H score between Port and the Crows again? (Don't forget that 2012's results don't count since you cheated)

shouldnt that mean that like 2011 and 2010 results dont count either?

I don't want to be too harsh. :) Even with all the results, Port lead 17-16 >:D

As a Crows supporter who isnt looking to have an argument with you gents i gotta say firstly Zip who gives a fat rats clacker about 2010 2011 or for that matter 2012 now its done and dusted all i care about is 2013. Yes SS you are up 17-16 but well balance that ledger next year and probably go one up. Since Josh francou days when you won 7 in a row theres not been to many happy days for you blokes and we still have the biggest winning margin 83 points versus Ports 65. Our Showdown record was looking very embarrasing untill Craigy took over and thankfully in recent times weve got back into it and im happy to discuss it again lol. Crows avg score is 89 and Ports is 85, i love these games as alot of the time there is nothing in it, by far the best showdowns in the whole comp. Footy in this state is alot better since the inclusion of Port and the showdowns are brilliant. I would be very disappointed if anything were to change and through Ports financial worries they disappeared, im one of the rare breed that wants Port to be a success if only for the showdowns, love these games, great when you can brag and hurts when you cant. Not to many minor round games do that for either of us i bet but the two where we play each year certainly do dont they. Id buy a membership for Port if it meant they would stay in the comp. I may dislike Port but i respect them and want them to remain and prosper footy in this state would be the looser without them. Close to one and half million South Australians must agree as thats how many have fronted up to the showdowns, hope we get back to the days when 45 to 50k are rolling to watch them, hopefully Adelaide oval will fix that.
