Sam Colquhoun has been invited to train with us up until the PSD/Rookie draft. For those who don't know of Colquhoun he was touted to be drafted between picks 15-30.

Looks a good player. Supposedly is more accountable one on one than his under 18 carnival showed :)

I think the powers to be saw that our forward issues going into the future were going to be more of an issue.
It was a surprise to me also so i hope they are on the ball with this.

If Colquhoun is drafted by Port it will be great to see some fierce competition for spots down back.

Still really surprised he didn't get picked up by the Crows or another team. Definitely will go in the rookie draft, if Port do nab him, that'd be a nice one on their part.

I was really surprised as well, was just waiting for Adelaide to call out his name...Maybe tbag got in my head. :o
I'd think Hombsch and Colq would be a good way of covering Jacobs and Chaplin.

Definitely a good move by Port. :)

does anyone have the rookie draft order?

I know GWS have pick 1.... which I think we'll use on tippett... but I could definitely see us taking colq and garlett if available.

why was colq passed on? does anyone have his combine stats/ ranks?

maybe he's just not fast enough or something...

Colquhoun averaged 28 disposals with a kicking efficiency of 78% last season.

Apparently Essendon are trying to get him down to train with them as well.

yeah I know, but that could be just that he's an exceptional read of play, a decent mark, strong bodied etc. That'll get you through Bgrade, but at A grade...

I just cant see why else he was overlooked by everyone :S
