I'm tossing up between the following 2 team formats:

Team 1-

Def: Goddard, Grimes, Gibbs, Hartlett, Broughton, Yarran, Pedersen, (Docherty, Thurlow)

Mids: Swan, Ablett, Cotchin, Mundy, Viney, O'Meara, (Crouch, Wines)

Rucks: Goldstein, Leuenberger, (Grundy, Daniher)

Fwds: Franklin, Cox (Rockliff if Cox not DPP), S.Johnson, Treloar, LeCras, Knights, Staker, (Stringer, Mayes)

Bank: $168,500

OR

Team 2-

Defs: Goddard, Grimes, Gibbs, Birchall, H.Shaw, Hartlett, Broughton, (Docherty, Thurlow)

Mids: Swan, Ablett, Ball, O'Meara, Crouch, Viney, (Hrovat, Wines)

Rucks: Goldstein, Leuenberger, (Grundy, Daniher)

Fwds: Franklin, Cox, S.Johnson, Rockliff, Treloar, LeCras, Staker, (Mayes, Stringer)

Bank: $219,000

Which structure would you go with?

Swan, Ablett, Ball, O'Meara all have the R13 bye

Neither will be in my team come Rnd 13. They'll be up/downgraded to players with Rnd 11/12 byes.

Swan and ablett should be, but i think you meant ball and omeara will be upgraded. I been hearing that there might be 30 trades (which is way to many and takes a fair bit of skill out of game, and also that only 18 will be fielded during bye period.

Team 1 -

Yarran, 8/18 scores under 50 this season. That's a massive no.

Mundy, 112 average from last 5 games but you'd be very brave to suggest he can maintain something like that for an entire season.

Team 2 -

I'd suggest Heppell or Duffield over Shaw.

2 premium mids just won't cut it, far too much risk involved.

I think Team 1 with some tinkering will serve you better in the long run. It's a pretty good side overall.
