The perfect dream team player. Running around getting cheap kicks haha !!
How do we know he will play that same role at Port?

:oBecause he plays that role as a football player?  Just like saying Heath Shaw was picked up to be a KPP  :o.

No how do you know there going to make his the loose man in defence. I'm not even sure he will get a game at Port and something must clearly be wrong in his game if he didn't get picked up in the ND. They might try to develope him into a lock down player, but most likely a rebounding defender.

Yeh, didn't say definite loose man in defense. But meant like, will be a re bounder/ free sort of player. I don't think they would draft him to turn him into something he's not.

Port have said they will pick him up in the upcoming draft.

Yeah, great news. Will he get upgraded from the rookie list straight away though?
Shouldn't take long for either Hartlett, Butcher, Schultz, Pittard or Lobbe to injure so yeah ;D

lol good call Tbag :D

Barra17

Now it's only a matter of waiting for a debut! Could be a great downgrade option if he comes in later in the season

He was selected to the senior list so good to play from round 1

Just saw on the Super Coach thread he's a Def/Mid!!! this almost locks him in as a def/mid link player starting in Mid.

Quite a few Port Adelaide rookies that could be fantasy relevant next year, with most being a wait and see if named round 1.
Sam Col is a quality player tho... this kid will play next year

T Dog

Another bench spot sorted...nice.. ;D

I'm not even sure he will get a game at Port and something must clearly be wrong in his game if he didn't get picked up in the ND.

Apparently the knock on Sam was that his defensive side was lacking. Not that he's alone there...

This was explained by Phillips his coach at the time who felt responsible for people (recruiters) being cautious of his accountability
as Phillips came out and said he played him as a loose man through the finals and Sam did what was asked of him but may of lead to the assumption that he lacked accountability. Doubt Port will play him in a similar role so i think its safe to say he will be accountable for his defensive side of the game. Hope this helps alleviate some peoples question marks on him, it has for me should he be a rnd 1 starter.

Made the under 18 All Australian side in defence,so i would think port got an absolute bargain.
