The AFL Draft is underway and North welcomes:

Pick 15: Taylor Garner

Former club: Dandenong Stingrays
DOB: 08/01/1994

Position: Forward

Height: 186cm
Weight: 76kg

Medium forward who was a real surprise packet in the NAB AFL U18 Champs with his mobility and overhead marking features. Showed good footy nous as a forward averaging 3.5 tackles and 14.8 disposals. 2012 All Australian.

Pick 37: Ben Jacobs! ;D

Former club: Port Adelaide
DOB: 09/01/1992

Position: Defender

Height: 185cm
Weight: 82kg

Originally recruited by Port Adelaide with pick No.16 in the 2010 NAB AFL Draft, the defender sparked significant interest when he announced he wanted to return to Victoria. After 26 games in two seasons, the left footer departed Port Adelaide with no compensation when a trade couldn't be arranged. Has made a steady start to his career, averaging 16 disposals a game, and his future appears bright.

Pick 41: Mason Wood

Former club: Geelong Falcons
DOB: 13/09/1993

Position: Forward

Height: 192cm
Weight: 79kg

Left footed tall forward who presents well on the lead and is strong overhead. Averaged 13 disposals for Vic Country this year in the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships with his best game against their arch rival, Vic Metro. Has elite endurance and work rate and is capable of playing as a wingman as well. Has clean hands, good vision and excellent awareness.

Pick 47: Mitchell Wilkins

Pick 56: Daniel Currie

Pick 61: Taylor Hine

Pick 76: Sam Gibson (rookie elevation)

Pick 91: Aaron Mullett (rookie elevation)

Pick 103: Majak Daw (rookie elevation)

I'll be updating this throughout the night with full info about each player.

roo boys!

Great stuff by our recruiters, stoked with what we ended up with!

Last 3 picks used on rookie promotions so we finish with Garner, Jacobs, Wood, Wilkins, Currie and Hine. Seems to be a recycled player trend!

Wood is a brilliant pick up for you guys.

Kid is a jet, and fits your needs.

And we got the backup ruckman that you were talking about in Currie!

Still should have taken Grundy over Garner though... :-X

bottlemart

Thrilled with north's pick ups.

Garner looks very good.

Glad to pick up Jacobs at 37, and Wood looks to be a steal at 41.
