it was more along the lines of the AFL seeing it as an admission of guilt and enforcing a greater punishment

There's only a couple of ways to stay in the top 4 Cic.

Losing draft picks would be the worst of them

I'm so confused as to why they've done this.

like, why ask for the extra time to prepare a case, then give up picks? :S

Maybe because they just needed more time zip.  ::)

Surely admitting guilt is better than denying it and then being found they are guilty.

not after denying it first then admitting guilt they are trying to decide there own punishment AFL wont like it

lol one could even say they are tampering with the draft again by doing this

Think about it in the legal system. A guy first denys to murder, the trial then starts, they discover their going to be found guilty so they change their plea to guilty. Always helps them when the sentencing occurs as it shows they are admiring to it...

There is a way that the club could've avoided this. By not doing shonkies on the side. They put themselves into the situation, expect everything done by the crows to be taken as a bad thing. :)

How can anyone trust them now?

They said they were going to be honest, but have quite clearly flip-flopped.

I'm not saying a bigger punishment, but I'm really confused how this helps Adelaide at all.

I think this. There are rules in place for a reason. They should be punished and harshly.

Grazz

Not sure on the harsh bit when you consider it on a scale of whats happened at other clubs in the past.
Draft picks this year and next with a fine is what im expecting and think is warranted.

I'm just curious how the Crows get to pick and choose what draft they pull out of, or go in. How long have the AFL been letting clubs pick their penalties for? When i lose my licsence, i'll ask the cops for the period i want!!! Yeah sure ???
