QuoteFremantle's resurgent veteran defender Adam McPhee is set to turn his back on football and retire immediately.

Hmmm... 'Family Reasons'... Right.

It's a shame cos McPhee is best 22 easily IMO

Shouldn't have delisted Roberton then. But I guess Roberton did want to return back to Victoria...

Really need to re-sign Ibbo now.  Forster was talked up a lot when we drafted him last year but injuries cruelled him.  Spurr will take on the hard-man role I think

Capper

im not so shocked, thought he would have announced it at the end of the season.

Sounds like Robbo comes back in and Lower may get re-drafted

Roberton is on the "permission to train" list with the Saints

Ricochet

He's a massive loss. Our defence is starting to worry me a bit now

If he retires then he wont be able to - that loop hole was closed when Mal Michael retires from the Lions only to turn up at the Bombers.

oh ok but didn't Luke Power retire then play for GWS or was that allowed because he was a coach also?

Danyle Pearce for Broughton, Lee Spurr for McPhee.

Backline goes like this IMO:

FB: Michael Johnson, Zac Dawson, Lee Spurr
HB: Paul Duffield, Luke McPharlin, Danyle Pearce

Ibbotson is also in the mix.
