JBs-Hawks

Shoey in for Ellis and Savage for Hill. Hill in for white cross til het gets back. Shoey is best 22 whether you agree or not.

elephants

Schofield in for Brown, Masten in for Dick and Nicoski, Dick and Hill will likely rotate depending on form.

Wellingham was bought in to take the load off Kerr and allow him to play a more outside role where teams will be unsure whether he's worth tagging or not.

Overall, not a bad effort mate. We have a few young fellas pushing for matches like Wilson (If Brown looks likely to leave), Lycett (when Cox/Nic Nat are injured/need resting) and Morton and Cripps will likely come into play as a rotation with Embley and Kerr given some good WAFL form.

Good work mate :)

Disco

Clinton Young has got to be in before Sinclair for the pies. They got him to improve their delivery into the forward line.

aces-high

Great writeups mate! Not bad team 22 guesses, a few iffy picks and ommissions here and there but tremendous work as a whole!

Thanks ele. I'm not going to lie I struggled a bit with eagles. They have a list full of deserving players and I'm not sure I got the right mix. I do like brad divk though think he would mak a handy sub. Disco I see young as a replacement for Johnson in the next year or so. His not a must be in 22 player for mine. Keep in mind it isn't easy doing 18 clubs. The ones I think I did best were: Adelaide Collingwood Melbouene Port and Saints .
Lions and eagles were tricky

PowerMan

pretty sure Port are looking at grabbing Mayes as pick 7, unless of course Grundy falls to 7 (highly unlikely)

also fairly confident Colquhoun will go to Port as well. I know his father & brother pretty well and the family are fairly confident that'll he'll stay home.

Sorry mate, I mean Blayne Wilson (Young Key Backmen), we delisted Callum a few years ago now :)

But all the same man, this thread is incredible!!

Port's best 22 would have to be having no-one line up for them

Better for them to just not show up and save themselves the humiliation.

Port Adelaide best 22:

FB: J.Hombsch A.Carlile J.Pittard

FB: M.Broadbent J.Trengrove D.Pfeiffer

C:   Bra.Ebert   D.Cassisi K.Cornes

HF: J.Westoff  J.Butcher Bre.Ebert

FF: N.Salter     J.Schulz  A.Monfries

R: M.Lobbe T.Boak H.Hartlett

I/C: C.Heath C.Wingard D.Stewart N.Salter (sub)

Emg: C'O Shea, M.Thomas, C.Hitchcock.

Nathan Blee will fill the Chaplin role, Blee plays like Dale Morris can play on both small and talls. If Blee is unavailable we may start getting games in Salter or O'Shea both can vill that void.

Hartlett will be slotted alongside the half back line, Tom Jonas was elevated of the senior last late this season and will be one of the candidates fighting for that other half back spot, Andrew Moore another candidate.

Local boy Sam Mayes should be available at pick 7 and we should take him, If so he will be in our team round 1 possible as the sub. If Bulldogs had any sense they would pick up Plowman.

If Campbell Heath can stay injury free for the year he will be a good player for us.

Pfeiffer out of the team for Jack Neade, Neade is exactly what we need he averaged 72 in the U/18 Carnival this year and will be complimented well by the likes of Schulz, Butcher, Westhoff and Monfires up in the forward line.

Sydney best 22

FB:   R.Shaw     A.Johnson M.Mattner

HB: N.Malcheski T.Richards H.Grundy

C: D.Hannerberry J.Bolton  T.Mitchell

HF: J.McVeigh    S.Reid      R'O Keefe

FF: B.McGylln     A.Goodes  L.Jetta

R: S.Mumford J-P Kennedy K.Jack

I/C: LRT M.Pyke L.Parker C.Bird (sub)

Emg: T.Armstrong J.Lamb M.Morton

Verdict: The reigning premiers have little to know rookie room. They have set out to keep there premiship team intact. I do think that Mitchell will come into there team at some point in the year though, maybe as a downgrade option during the byes. To add to this there first picks is mid 20s, its a no from me to the swans, watch Mitchell.

Nice write up but sorry mate but I disagree that Mitchell is in the best 22 at the moment. You can’t say that he is in the best 22 without playing a game for the 1s. He will be a gun hopefully and will get into the team but he needs some game time in the 2s to get his knee right. Mitchell still hasn’t played a full game in the 2nds and won’t play in the 1s till he does. Knee tendonitis has kept him from playing a full game in the 2s. Also Nick Smith should be in there.

With the likes of Bolton, Goodes, McVeigh all coming to the end of their careers, when they make way then the likes of Parker, Mitchell, Lamb, Cunningham will start to get more game time.

We have rookie room, but as lists have been cut from 6 to 4, we only have 2 on our rookie list with Biggs and Robinson but will probably pick up Gordan again.

My best 24 would be

B - Smith, Richards, Mattner
HB - Shaw, Grundy, Johnson
C - Hannebery, Bolton, McVeigh
HF - Jetta, Reid, O'Keefe
F - Mcglynn, Goodes, Rohan
Fol - Mumford, Kennedy, Jack
Int - LRT, Bird, Malceski, Parker, Pyke, Morton

With probably Morton and Pyke missing out

Hopefully Lamb gets game time is a smart, skill full player.

hopefully, i expect him to play in the NAB cup this year along with Cunners, not too sure how Mitchell's knee will be like for NAB.

Perfectly fine mate, all constructive. I like your'e point about there coming to there end of there careers, thats exactly why I would start playing them, maybe late season after a few injuries fall. I would give them a taste for it, not necesserily in the team 22 games but maybe 10-12 games.

Great work underdog :)

Just one thing i noticed about Richmond's lineup however is that you have left out Vickery. I imagine he will come in to CHF, Jack to FF, Edwards to the HFF and King out. Bit petty, but just wanted to point it out! :)

Just Going to throw my weight behind Tabs here... Smith and Rohan, both defn best 22 form and fitness not withstanding.

I would expect Mitchell, Lamb and Cunningham to be in and out of the team next year as far as the rookies go

Pyke ends up being very unlucky. Cant see any draftee making the team for round 1
