Thanks very much Mr L, I know a bit about Jasper and agree with you wholeheartedly. Have you got anything on Sharrod Wellingham ? Could he turn in to another Beams at WCE or will he just be small part player ? Thanks again for everything (playing both O'Shea and Pittard in defence). Cheers.

2008

Sharrod was a late replacement in his debut against the Bombers for Anthony Rocca. He had 17 disposals and proved that he could be relied on as a tagger getting a huge role 3 weeks later to tag Gary Ablett Junior, who arguably had his best season in 2008. Sharrod finished the season with 12 games and an average of just under 60 Supercoach points and 14 disposals a game

2009

Wellingham came out of the gates firing in 2009 getting over 20 disposals in 5 of the first 6 games. He then was used as a tagger for the rest of the season averaging lower disposals than the first rounds of the AFL season. Wellingham finished the season averaging 17 disposals a game, 3 more than the season before.

2010

Sharrod started the season flying again with 20 or more disposals in the first 7 games of the season. He then again finished the season tagging but kept the disposals to around 18-19 a game. Sharrod's efficiency was his main problem in season 2010 (and 2011) as he played decently in Dreamteam at 82 points a game but only 75 in Supercoach

2011

Sharrod had a very similar season to 2010 again avergaing high teens in disposals and 75 Supercoach points. Even though it was a very similar season Sharrod starred in a win against the Melbourne Demons in round 12 picking up 37 disposals, 128 Supercoach and a goal

2012

Season Highlights
19 disps (14 kicks 5 hballs), 7 marks and 8 tackles in Semi Final 13-pt win over West Coast at the MCG (15 Sep 2012)
24 disps (10 kicks 14 hballs), 4 marks, 11 tackles and a goal in Rd 20 8-pt win over Sydney at ANZ Stadium (11 Aug 2012)
20 disps (15 kicks 5 hballs), 6 marks and a goal in Rd 15 23-pt loss to Carlton at the MCG (6 Jul 2012)
29 disps (18 kicks 11 hballs), 3 marks and 4 tackles in Rd 14 29-pt win over Fremantle at the MCG (30 Jun 2012)
21 disps (19 kicks 2 hballs), 10 marks, 5 tackles and 2 goals in Rd 11 42-pt win over Melbourne at the MCG (11 Jun 2012)
27 disps (19 kicks 8 hballs), 9 marks, 4 tackles and a goal in Rd 10 97-pt win over Gold Coast at the MCG (3 Jun 2012)

Sharrod had his career best season in 2012 playing more of a head to head role. This was partly due to Ball being out but mostly as Buckley tried him in many different roles and he played head to head most. He averaged about the same disposals but his efficiency was better giving him a 6 point rise in Supercoach points.

Mid-Priced Player Rating - 9/10 - Wellingham will increase his scoring by at least 10 this season but he will be fighting for a spot in the Midfield against Cale Morton but he will probably not (in my opinion) be a tagger with Scott Selwood being there and Matt Rosa. He is a good pick but for about 100k less you can get Ball who has proven he can score 90-100 or Jack Zeibell for the same price as Wellingham who has shown he has a huge chance to be a superstar. I would take him if you want to be unique but wait until the NAB to confirm he isn't tagging.
Scoring range: 85-105

Sabretooth Tigers

Absolutely brilliant write up as usual Mr L, thanks very much and will be watching those you mentioned throughout the NAB and also the season. Cheers.

2012

2012 was a solid debut season for Shiel. He was highly rated in the pre-season and after having an interrupted start to 2012 by hurting his Achilles Tendon he debuted against the odds, Round 1 against the Swans. He was the first person in AFL history to be subbed off the field for only just over 30 supercoach points and 11 touches. He picked up his game the next couple rounds as I remember last year I didn't want to trade him out but I had to, anyway he played 2 stellar games one against West Coast picking up 28 disposals in round 3 and a Monster game against Geelong when he kept GWS in the game almost all by himself. He finished that game with 21 possesions, 5 tackles and 2 goals. Shiel's season came to an end at the Round 14 unfortunately hurting his foot.

Mid-Priced Player Rating - 8/10 - Dylan will be an absolute fantasy and AFL superstar even as soon as next year but at the moment I would think he will have a very similar season to what Dyson Heppell had last year hovering around the 80 point mark. He has the potential to breakout this year but I would predict that he will stay around the same as he is still in rehab for his foot and hasn't trained yet this pre-season and won't be until another couple of weeks. Watch closely
Scoring Range: 75-105

Could one of you guys do another one of your brilliant articles but this time on Jarryd Roughead? I'm looking at both Roughy and Coxy up Fwd with Rowe in the fwds as DP flexibility. I think with a full preseason he could almost average 110. He is also a very consistent player and i think i might need one of those in my side to balance out my less consistent players in my side.

2007
2007 Roughie was very inconsistent. His accuracy for kicking goals was only just over 50% (better than Buddy at least) . Roughead only went under 3 goals twice in the last 11 games of the home and away season but averaged only 10 disposals resulting in an average of only 62 supercoach a game for the season. Unfortunately I can't find any game logs from the first 11 games and pre-season of 2007.

2008
The season started really hot for Jarryd kicking 4 or more goals in his first 3 games while everyone was trying to destroy Buddy. His luck came to an end in round 4 when Rutten and Bock locked him down to 1 goal and 3 Frees against. He played very well behind Buddy kicking 75 goals and 51 behinds. Averaging 3 goals a game.

2009
2009 Roughie didn't kick as much goals as the season before as Hawthorn had there downfall. He kicked 51 goals being more inconsistent than the season before with teams now knowing that they had to account for him as well as Buddy. He had a career high scoring shots with 11 against the blues.

2010
2010 was very similar to the season before which raised questions towards the end of the season was Roughie being best used as a key forward behind Buddy as he very mobile and has good endurance.

2011
Roughead had a fantastic season which no one saw coming. He was the main ruck with all of Hawthorns injuries and did a damn good job of it. He averaged a career high in disposals, supercoach points, goal assists and of course hitouts. He rotated into the forward line at times doing a fantastic job down there. His season tragically came to an end in round 11 where he ruptured his Achilles tendon.

2012

Season Highlights

29 disps (16 kicks 13 hballs), 5 marks, 16 hitouts and 2 goals in Rd 21 64-pt win over Gold Coast at the MCG (19 Aug 2012)
21 disps (10 kicks 11 hballs), 3 marks, 17 hitouts and a goal in Rd 19 2-pt loss to Geelong at the MCG (3 Aug 2012)
18 disps (13 kicks 5 hballs), 4 marks, 8 hitouts and 3 goals in Rd 18 94-pt win over Essendon at Etihad Stadium (27 Jul 2012)
20 disps (12 kicks 8 hballs), 6 marks, 6 hitouts and 3 goals in Rd 17 47-pt win over Collingwood at the MCG (21 Jul 2012)
21 disps (15 kicks 6 hballs), 12 marks, 6 hitouts and 6 goals in Rd 15 162-pt win over GWS at the MCG (8 Jul 2012)
17 disps (10 kicks 7 hballs), 3 marks, 6 tackles, 17 hitouts and 2 goals in Rd 12 65-pt win over Brisbane at the MCG (17 Jun 2012)
22 disps (14 kicks 8 hballs), 8 marks and a goal in Rd 7 66-pt win over Melbourne at the MCG (11 May 2012)
23 disps (15 kicks 8 hballs), 5 marks, 8 hitouts and 2 goals in Rd 6 35-pt win over St Kilda at the MCG (5 May 2012)
14 disps (11 kicks 3 hballs), 4 marks, 10 hitouts and 5 goals in Rd 5 37-pt loss to Sydney at Aurora Stadium (29 Apr 2012)

Roughhead was the number 1 ruck again with Hale backing him up this year. He took a while to get going after not playing footy for 9 months but by the end of the season he was a dominant force. He was averaging 103 supercoach points a game by the end of the season and had a successful finals campaign.

Premium Priced Player Rating - 9.5/10 - Roughie is a absolute beast in the ruck. He might not get the most hitouts but man he can jump and run. He is in his prime and will be dominant again this season but I think a player like Naitanui or Patty Ryder could go up to 5 points higher than Jarryd but Roughead will be very unique again. Get him!!
Scoring Range: 95-115

2009
Tom's 2009 season consisted of only 1 game. He racked up a meer 5 touches and 3 marks only scoring 12 supercoach points against the Magpies.

2010
2010 a lot of Supercoach players put him in there starting squads after having a pretty good match against the Bulldogs. Rockliff contributed with 25 disposals, 3 marks, 3 tackles and a behind. He played his first game in Round 3 against the Bulldogs where he racked up 20 touches and 5 marks also adding 4 tackles. Rocky had some great games in season 2010, his best were against the Adelaide, St Kilda and Collingwood. His game against Collingwood was fantastic because of the 30 touches he racked up and 8 marks. He also had 2 goals. I can't find his Supercoach score but I believe if my memory serves me correctly it was 138. His second half of the season was amazing, he only dropped below 20 disposals once and 25 disposals 3 times in 12 rounds!

2011
Rocky backed up his sucessful 2010 campaign with a breakout 2011 one! He dropped below the 20 disposal mark only once in round 9 when he injured himself and the second half of 2011 was jaw-dropping. From round 13 to round 23 he got over 27 disposals every game and didn't drop below 100 supercoach from rounds 12-24. He was fools gold though as 2012 buyers found

Rockliff in my own words as a owner of him last year was a HUGE disapointment. He didn't even average over 100!! After his unbelievable second half of 2011 I thought he could be a consistent 110+ player but he was somebody who you could pencil in a score from anywhere between 50-150. Unfortunately by the time most owners had lost hope he was already too cheap to pick up a premium for. The main problem was Brisbane had so many emerging midfield talents that Rocky had to be put in the forward line for most of the season. He was almost playing a traditional full forward role in the games I watched him in. It was a smart choice in some ways with his strong body in which he could nudge defenders away to take a mark then line up for goals but he did this only a few times. He did get a career highs in kicks, handballs, marks and goals. He played a fantastic against the Western Bulldogs though in the midfield racking up 40 disposals. I think for Rockliff it was one for Supercoach owners to forget.

Premium Priced Player Rating - 9.7/10 - Rocky is almost a lock this year. With the lions obtaining Stefan Martin as a key forward Rockliff should play less time as KPP. He is so cheap for a player who should go at least 110+ points a game next year even if he is playing on the half forward flank. He could go as much as 125+ and for a forward that is huge!! LOCK HIM IN!!
Scoring Range - 85-130

Just a quick thing guys. I am going on holidays starting tommorow and won't be back until the 28th or 29th. I have messaged C4v3M4n to see whether he can help out but I am yet to get an answer. You can request players in the next couple days but I can't guarantee they will be done until the 29th. If somebody would like to step in and do some thats more than fine by me.
Peace guys
