On a side note, any tips for which (good) current shows could span for a long time (say, 10+ years)?

Doctor Who is notching year number 50 in 2013!

Reckon Modern Family is going to go on forever

Yeah modern family has the potential to go on for ages. Of the ones I watch Californication could keep going and going by the looks of it. Unfortunately The Inbetweeners had already stopped production by the time i watched it :'( and i don't think community will last too much longer with a new producer.

the Goodies and Blackadder would be in my favs, I'm never watching modern family, ever!

Which of these shows are nominated, some are just mentioned but which one's for the poll?

Yeah I know haha but with the falling out between Chevy Chase and Dan Harmon + Chevy's racism on set that might be unlikely :'(

I'm pretty sure Community started off as a low-budget show anyway, can't expect too much from it.

Do not know Nials I would still put some of the British Comdey shows ahead of scrubs - Shows like Yes Minister, On The Buses, Love thy Neighbour, Benny Hill show abd Dave Allen at Large to name a few. Mash and Hogan's Heroes would be up there as well.
You could add The Goodies, Men Behaving Badly, and Red Dwarf (current) to that list too Ringo
Forgot Red Dwarf and The Goodies but not really a fan of Men behaving badly.

Throw in Some Mother's Do Have Them, One Foot In The Grave and Blackadder and then you're talking.
Can't believe I forgot Blackadder.

One of the best comedy's ever to go around. The start of the Rowan Atkinson, Stephen Fry, Tony Robinson, and Hugh Laurie's successful careers.

Hard to imagine Hugh Laurie working in this type of show considering what he does now.

Stop watching it now! First season was very entertaining, second season was ok, but third was laughable and the fourth was some terrible television :/
