DEF: B. Goddard, B. Gibbs, G. Birchall, J. Grimes, J. Hombsch, D. Morris, R. Tambling (C) (J. Hutchins, J. Pittard)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, S. Pendlebury, J. Kennedy, N. Fyfe, D. Swallow, L. Ball (J. O'Meara, J. Viney)
RUC: N. Naitanui, M. Leuenberger (C. Gault, J. Witts)
FWD: L. Franklin, A. Treloar, T. Cloke, D. Tyson, M. LeCras, T. Varcoe, G. Horlin-Smith (B. Macaffer, B. Staker)
CASH LEFT: $54,200
Backline is ok. 4 guns in BJ, Gibbs, Birchall and Grimes. Hombsch is and ok scorer, but not a gun as yet. Morris is nearly 30 and coming back from a broken leg so stay away.
Midfield is very strong, 4 guns and Swallow who is a chance to break out. Ball is also a good option.
Rucks are is are similair to most and are both solid picks.
Forward line is ok, Buddy is your only real gun. Trealor isn't a proven gun as yet and Cloke is inconsistent. Tyson isnt the worst pick but you could probably find a better player for cheaper. LeCras and Varcoe are also solid options who will make cash. Not sure on Horlin-Smith's JS.
I would downgrade Swallow in your Mids and upgrade a rookie up forward or down back.
I will rate your team a 6/10  :o

Taking a punt on rucks. Only 3 guns in midfield but think many of drafted guns will be in the midfield and will play. Hopefully can cash in.

It's pretty close, but I will go for team 1. I rate Sylvia highly, he is a gun! Can average 100+ easily if he gets his shower together. Not sure on how Stringer will go, great talent but think he will be given time to develope. Cotchin is probs 5-10 points better than Fyfe and Byrnes will beat Stringer easily. But Sylvia does beat Krackouer. So yeah team 1 and Mumford could be a good unique pick

kilbluff1985

hey mate how do you feel the ruck combo of Bellchambers & Luey i'm not expecting a great deal from them if they average around 90 or above i'd be very happy doing this gives me this team which i think is very strong besides the rucks but they do have potential to do well

really appreciate your ratings mate cheer you every time ;)

will obviously keep an eye on both rucks during pre season but if i can start with this team think it would be hard to beat not much else changed since the last team but brought in A.Swallow makes my mids look super strong

um yeah just after your opinion on the rucks and a rating see if it's above 8.5/10 lol

I like Bellchambers a lot. Showed a lot towards the end of 2012 and has forced Hille out and Ryder up forward. As you said I wont be expecting massieve scores (120+) from your ruckmen, but should average over 90 each. I like that you brought in Swallow, he is a tackling machiene and a great unique pick. With the addition of Swallow it would bump your rating to a 8.8 to 9/10. Nice work kilbluff and thanks for the cheer!

JROO what do you think of a Vardy-Berger starting ruck combo? Saves some serious cash...

Risky. Vardy will be a great ruckmen in the future but won't be the best scorer now. I would expect 70-80 for him. The arrival of McIntosh won't affect Vardy as he can play up forward. But this wouldn't be the worst idea as you keep Berger all year and could upgrade Vardy later on after he makes some $$$

Some unique picks there sidvicious.
5 guns down back, but Shaw and Spurr arent someone I would look to pick. You should downgrade them to a rookie. Russell and Staker are good choices though.
Midfield is pretty unique. Thompson, Redden, Boyd all good unique options, but very risky leaving out both Pendles and GAJ.
Berger is a good chocie and Martin should be a good pick and will get game time at the Lions, but your screwed during the byes with Berger and Martin.
Only 2 premiums in your forward line which is very risky. Bock, Varcoe and LeCras could be come keepers while Menzel should make some cash. I would downgrade Smedts to a rookie as yo need cash.
Team needs some improvement, I rate it a 6/10

What changes have you made?
Out: Johnson, D.Martin, Nic Nat, Jacksch, Staker
In: Thurlow, Bellchambers, Buddy, Rocky, White
It's close, to say if your teams improved or not. I would probably just leave it at a 9.
Rockliff beats Johsnon, Buddy beats Martin and Nic Nat destroys Bellchambers.
Jacksch and Staker probably beat Thrulow and White by a little as well.
It's risky having Bellchambers up there, but I reckon he could break out this year average 90-95. But if he doesn't you could just upgrade him anyway. I like Sylvia a lot, reckon he's a great chocie and was thinking about putting him in myself, but when I saw he plays GC, GWS and Port twice I might lock him in!

Nice look team Ant. Very strong side, besides the forward line probably a premium short.
4 guns down back and 3 potential keepers in Bock, Pedersen and Staker.
Mids are strong, Ablett, Pendles and Cotch are no brainners whil Kennedy is a very good unique chocie. O'Mera, Hrovat and Viney good choices, but I would rather Crocuh or Wines over Stringer. They will ease him into the AFL.
Rucks are solid and similair to most teams.
Forwards are ok, but need one more premium, I think. 3 guns while LeCras should be a keeper. Jesse Hogan can't play AFL next year and I wouldn't pick McBean, he is pretty skinny and will be given a year or two to bulk up and play VFL before he is given a chance.
Nice team Ant, I rate it a 8.5/10
