Hey guys have made a quick team for next year, i know i will probably change it a million times but just wondering what you guys think of it this one to start with. mainly look at the prems and mid range players, most of therookies are just chucked in atm. oh and Broughton is picked as long as Mckenna plays him in the mids nex season.

Nice looking team Cortez!
Broughton should be a good pick and Selwood could be a good POD.
Surprised you left GAJ out, it's risky as he is such a good scorer. Do you think he won't start the season well?
Nicoski is another good POD and pretty cheap. But yer your team looks pretty strong

Cheers JROO, and yea Gaz will probably kill it, Is struggling wwith a back injury over in Arizona atm though. Just see what happens. Trying to go with a bit of a younger guard for premier kids this though instead of the old guard like GAJ, Mitchell and Swan. Thinking Pendles, Selwood, Murphy and Cotchin are young and just coming into there prime.

Like most of that team! Minus Toy and nicoski. Change them two and it becomes an 8.5-9 out of 10.

Very strong backline. Having both Heppell and Goddard is interesting, their best roles (for scoring potential) are both quite similar and with guys like Dempsey crowding the backline as well one of them might take a scoring hit. Could also be perfectly fine but I'd definitely keep tabs on their preseasons.
Toy makes me very nervous, still not sure whether it was being at GC or his heart condition that led to performance problems. I'd be tempted to switch him out for a rookie or play Pittard over him.

MID: S. Pendlebury, J. Selwood, T. Cotchin, M. Murphy, L. Ball, T. Mitchell (J. O'Meara, J. Viney)
Pretty much perfect here. Not much to really comment on. All really solid selections and Mitchell could be a great pick-up. Was top 5 quality last season but won't come at the price point that some of the other top draftees will and given how Sydney treated negotiations re: Mitchell this trade week I'd say he's very highly rated internally and just as likely to get opportunities as a Wines or an O'Rourke.

...Still not sold on O'Meara but I guess time will tell.

RUC: N. Naitanui, M. Leuenberger (M. Daw, J. Witts)
Most likely the most common ruck set-up we'll see come round 1. Witts and Daw both an LTI away from playing all 22 and Nic Nat and Leuen are both safe selections.

FWD: L. Franklin, C. Rioli, H. Bennell, D. Zaharakis, M. LeCras, M. Nicoski, T. Varcoe (D. Menzel, T. Lee)
Rioli and Nicoski have both had some injury issues in the past. I'd probably suggest cutting one of them, and seeing as there are so many good options around the Nicoski price point he'd be the one to go for me. 160k on the bench for Menzel seems a bit much, if you're confident he can score well I'd move him onto the ground for Nicoski, downgrade Nicoski to a basement price rookie and maybe re-allocate the cash down back to move Toy on. Or just bank it for the first round of cows that you cull.

Comments in red - team looks really good. Managed to get some nice PODs in without taking outrageous risks.

91/100.

Very strong, not sold on toy as an option. Seeing a lot of teams with Bennel too, I know hteres a lack of great forward premiums but don't think he is the best option. Watch the rookies of course for early draft picks like whitfield, winnes, stringer, might need to find a little extra cash for them. Otherwise very strong, 9-10.
