Theyve always sold it at the cricket, well least since I started drinking it at the cricket in the 06 ashes
Well it's about time we got together and say that we don't want any more of this crap at the Adelaide oval! If enough people stand up they have to listen!

They're charging twice as much to get in for a five day test match as they should be, what happens in the summer of 2014 when they're still charging over $40  for entry when people want to see more than one day of a test? Plus they're still serving xxxx gold :o

You can't compare paying $45 for a sub standard venue to a third world counrty ::)

Nails

Mate $40 bucks is a ripper price.

In the NHL (when it's running) if you want a seat anywhere close to the playing field it's like $200-300!!!

And that's for 3 20 minute periods

$40-45 for 6 hours of cricket... That's ~$7 an hour... Most things cost more than that... ten pin bowling = likely more than that, laser tag is more than that, cinema is around the same price...

IT's a fair price.

Sure if you want to keep the average or to a lesser extend, the less fortunate away from being able to see more than one day of test cricket, we are talking over 50 000 seats at the Adelaide oval in future! Do we want to allow the well off to enter and have a half empty stadium or have tickets at a reasonable price and have a huge croud for 3-5 days of Test cricket ;)

Nails

It is a reasonable price though?

I went to 2 days last boxing day :)

And tests are only once a year at Adelaide... in 52 weeks you should be able to scrounge up enough $ for 2 days of test cricket ;)

Yes you would think so but...

Lets not compare us to the gooses in the states

this is one of the best countries possibly ever to live in, there will not be 50 000 at a single day in Test cricket in Adelaide and why not?

Simply lower the prices and watch as the stadium fills! This is a great city and a great country, why not allow as many as possible to see their country once a year play test cricket at it's best? Is all I am saying... the rich be damed and the greedy can gtfo

Nails

There'll never be 50,000 @ a test in Adelaide because... It's Adelaide.

We've had 50k at the footy! As you've said it's once a year and people can save for it! So if these nazi's offer a propper price, why not?

And even if the tickets do rise in price, expect 50 000 when England next play at the wonderful, ageless, magnificent, glorious, spectaculour, impressive, beautiful, amazing, captivating, lovley, stupendous, fantastic Adelaide oval!

PowerBug

Sorry tbagrocks, but you're being pretty annoying. Listen to Nails, it is only Adelaide after all, who cares......

There is a test starting in a few days at the WACA, let's talk about that instead. :D
