Wow what a test match! Disappointed with the result, but Peter Siddle, I am just lost for words with his performance at the end. What a legend. Am I the only one that found myself saying come on mate at the top of his run in that last over just like in the ads?

nope i know that he was saying that to himself towards the end there

Mickey Arthur just said on ABC radio that they will know the line up for the third test in a matter of hours.

Could be interesting.

Well played Du Plessis!! MOM

Difficult to split Clarke and Du Plessis!

Give burdett the sack, cost Australia the game
Too Harsh.

Both teams were down a bowler so they were even in the end. The next test is the key. Aussies bowlers are stuffed and need to recoup.

Surely a double century gives it to Clarke.

He saved Australia's 1st innings bacon as much as Plessis saved S.A's

its a 4 day turnaround this all starts again on Friday

with most of our bowlers struggling for fitness and our top order struggling for runs (Quiney and Ponting in particular)

and with Watson being told he should not play unless he can bowl

you wouldn't want to be Mickey Arthur right now

Can't take anything away from Clarke - tried everything he could to give Australia the win just didn't happen for him. Siddsy is a star, no other person in the country would be able to do what he did today.

I blame Australia's fitness coaches and physios for allowing 2 of the best strike bowlers in the country, Pattinson and Cummins to get injuries.

Well Clarke and du Plessis both played amazing games, but the Saffas took out the MOM with Faf getting it for an amazing debut. Don't forget his 75 odd in the first innings that saved their skin as well. The Aussies were definitely up in both matches when they ended, so bring on the WACA I say.

Du Plessis batted for almost 10 hours, Clarke did it in 4, And the thing is, even without Clarkes double ton we still mightve won, without Du Plessis there wouldve been no 5th day. So try and see that someone actually did better than Clarke for a change.

Plus Du Plessis did it on debut. ;)

I don't know if you realised, but Australia could of lost pretty easily without Clarke's double century.

Being on debut doesn't really mean anything, and I don't think it really overtook the extra 80-90 odd extra runs Clarke scored

Not that it matters in the end, both played well
