Great declaration by Clarke, got what i wanted which was the top order gone, Merry Christmas Grazz. You can knock Clarke but if you cant step up now and say ok i was wrong , thats your issue. Shame on you. :)

happy that its gone to Day 5 so I can be there see Australia clean up the Saffas   ;D

Would've been p*ssed off if it finished today

is it time for Ponting to go? I don't think he can survive to the Ashes unless he gets a big hundred or two before the summer is out

They'll give him the WACA test I think. This series is slowly turning to last man standing. Watson and Cummins started it, then Duminy, Philander, Kallis and now Pattinson. Carnage series is this one.

It did turn out to be a great declaration, almost what I predicted. :)

After lunch 45 minutes of sticking around, and if they are still 7 down then go for a slog and try to get a 450+ lead before tea then declare. (That's how i say Australia should go about things)
Close enough. :P

and about time Ponting's position in the team has come under fire....

20 runs in last 3 innings is simply not good enough

Last summer's injuries all over again. Cummins, Pattinson out for season. Watson gone for a few tests. Ryan Harris, who knows.

So what do people think looking ahead to the WACA test. Do we go with the 4 quicks? If we do who would make up the fourth spot with Siddle, Hilf and Starc? Do we bring in a Jack Bird, Josh Hazlewood? Some people are saying a possible Mitchell Johnson recall which I really hope doesn't happen.

I must say thought I have been very impressed with what Nathan Lyon is doing and he could become a very good spinner. Do we keep him for the test and hope that Watson could bowl quite a bit as the fourth seamer?

Cicjose

BB i don't like Watson to come back as a 4th seamer but i also think Cutting and Herrick should be under consideration

with Starc, and your choices in Bird and Hazlewood

Changes to be made before WACA test?

IN: Watson, Khawaja, Starc
OUT: Quiney, Ponting, Patto
:o

Do we give Punter 1 last chance? 4 paceman or 3 + Watson?
Decisions...

I would also give the WACA test as a farewell game for Ponting. If anyone deserves one, it's him. Then I see Khwaja or Hughes coming in as his replacement long term.

Tominator

Phil Hughes made 158 for the Redbacks, he could be close to a recall but maybe against Sri Lanka not the Daggers

I think they'll bring in Starc and Watson for Patto and Quiney, play three quickies plus Watson and Lyon

Mailman the 2nd

Many don't realise how good a ball that was from Kallis.
