So when should Clarke declare today, assume a regular scoring rate is achieved, say 50-60 runs per hour?

I hope he doesn't be selfless and bats until tea if he's still there with Wade or Siddle, and tries to get past 334 firstly then push for 400 himself.

It would be silly for Australia to declare. Now is the perfect time for batting on this pitch, so there is no reason why we can't bat for the majority of today and get the score to over 700, then have three days to bowl SA out twice.

Easy  8)

I actually just can't believe the form that Clarke is in at the moment. He has scored 1265 runs for 2012 at an average of 140.5  That is quite amazing and he still has a couple of more tests to go this year. The captaincy has been great for Pup and it's great to have a captain that leads by example with the bat and in the field.

It has been good for him lately

He's still a knob though

Clarke finally gone for 230, average of 489 this series

Hahahahahaha Warner doubters.

Called it.

Ponting should have been dropped and Warner retained.

Patto for all rounder status in the coming years??

Edit: Jinxed him

All out for 550.  Patto had a very nice cameo though, haha.

There's a bit more in the pitch today I think.
